China Operating a 'Secret Police' in Chinatown, Climate Change and NYS Springtime Forest Fires & Rupert Murdoch's Mendacious Media on Trial ... Again

NYC Weather. The temperature highs will rise from about 60 on Tuesday, to the mid 60's Wednesday and Thursday, to the low to mid 70's on Friday and Saturday. The temperature lows will be in the mid 40's on Tuesday and Wednesday, rising to the mid 50's on Thursday and Friday. The winds will be about 10 - 15 mph on Tuesday and Wednesday, dropping to 5 - 10 mph on Thursday and Friday. The humidity will be about 40% on Tuesday and Wednesday, rising to 60 - 70% on Thursday and Friday. No rain is in the forecast all week long.

PRC [People's Republic of China] Caught Operating a 'Secret Police' in Chinatown in Manhattan

In October of 2022, the FBI obtained a search warrant to investigate an office on Broadway in Chinatown believed to be a 'secret police' station set up by dictator President Xi Jin Ping's Peoples Republic of China in order to control the behaviors of Chinese people living in the U.S. Two men were charged in the case. According to the Department of Justice, the two men who were arrested yesterday, are "... “Harry” Lu Jianwang, 61, of the Bronx, and Chen Jinping, 59, of Manhattan ...".

The 'secret police' office was closed after the two men discovered that the FBI was watching them. When conducting the search, the FBI reported that the memories of the two men's communications devices [aka evidence] were erased. The men are presumed innocent in this country until proven guilty. This is very much unlike the process we've seen in China, where one is guilty of whatever dictator president Xi Jin Ping decides they're guilty of.

I always marvel at the dishonesty of dictators who attempt to control what everyone thinks, because the truth can be deadly to them and their regimes. For example calling China the PRC - People's Republic of China - when the people have no say in who their leaders are, can be imprisoned or even terminated for speaking their minds, and can only own or operate a significant business if it's given a blessing by the dictator president. The PRC should be called the XDC - Xi's Dictatorship of China. Where everything is designed to suit one man, and nobody, and nothing else, matters. As dictator president Xi seems to say by his actions, "... It's all about Me, Me, Me, Me or Xi, Xi, Xi, Xi ...".

Climate Change and NYS Fires in the Springtime - No Water No Food No Life

In the past folks used to talk about how "April Showers Bring May Flowers". This Spring I have been alarmed at how fast climate change damages are mounting, as well as by the slow pace with which people, businesses and governments are moving to address this threat to our very existence.

In a democracy the government can only move as quickly as the people will allow it, so in some measure don't blame the government per se, nor the officials who've been making legitimate attempts to address the problem, but haven't yet been given a big enough mandate by the people, to do more, and do more quickly. We all need to blame ourselves, because this is a government, "... by for and of the people ..." and collectively we are the people.

At present most people are worried about having too much water, because in the stage of climate change we are currently in, too much water is wreaking the most immediate havoc. But too much rain and too much water is going to seem like a child's play problem - when the next stage of climate change takes center stage - which is not having enough water.

Because without enough water, humans cannot survive for more than three days.

Over the past few year we have seen wildfires rage through drought stricken California, as well as the near deadly evaporations of some of the nation's largest rivers - like the Mississippi and the Colorado Rivers. Also, U.S. lakes like Lake Meade in Arizona and the Great Salt Lake in Utah, are ALREADY facing possible extinction. Tens of millions of Americans depend on these water sources, and at least some of these Americans may be facing a huge displacements because living on such arid lands may not be economically / biologically feasible. They may find themselves in situations not unlike what the immigrants at the southern border are contending with.

This summer pay attention to the flash droughts, and the further evaporations.

And in the meantime, do your part to reduce your use of dictator-controlled fossil fuels. Some of the things you can do is to use public transit, walk or bicycle as much as possible. Keep your applicances and electronic devices off when you're not using them. Recycle things as much as possible. BTW - Why aren't wine bottles recycled? If you can, invest in an electric car, solar panels, and definitely vote for public officials who are trying to move the needle in the right direction. Plant trees at home, or in tandem with the parks department, or in tandem with the public works departments of the city or state. And if you find yourself throwing a lot of things out each week, try to right size / cut back on your consumption to reduce your waste, and by association your carbon footprint.

By reducing the use of fossil fuels you can defund some of the worst dictators in the world including, dictator president Vladimir Putin of Russia, dictator Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei of Iran, and dictator King Salman of Saudi Arabia.

How about the Dominion Case vs Murdoch's Fox 'News'?

The Prince of Dark Media, Rupert Murdoch, and his cotillion of soothsaying fabulists on Fox 'News', may finally have gotten caught in their TV network web of dishonesty.

Murdoch, who operates propaganda outlets in Australia, Great Britain and the U.S., has been called "... cancerous for democracy ..." by former Australian Prime Minister Kevin Rudd, "... not fit to run a major international company ..." by a British cross-parliamentary committee on Murdoch's phone hacking scandal, and " ... the most dangerous man in the world ... and one of the most destructive forces in the U.S. ... " according to President Joe Biden.

Having spent quite a bit of time monitoring Murdoch's malfeasances for the past seven years, I concur with all of the above. Dominion Voting Systems has taken the Prince of Darkness to court, for one of many Murdoch episodes, of spreading damaging falsehoods. In this case, the misinformation was about the Dominion Voting Systems machines used in the 2020 election.

Based on reports since the case materialized, the judge in this case, the Honorable Eric M. Davis of the Delaware Superior Court, has limited Murdoch's attempts to do what Murdoch does best, which is to manipulate people and systems to his advantage. Dominion seems possibly the most formidable foe the dishonest Prince of Darkness has faced since his seemingly criminal career in mass media manipulations began about 70 years ago. Not long after Joseph Goebbels, the prior leading Prince of Darkness, suddenly 'retired himself'.

There have been rumors that Fox was hoping to settle the case, after their attorneys were apparently caught trying to deceive the court Fox 'News' style - by omitting key facts. In this case the key fact was about Rupert Murdoch's role in the Fox 'News' division. In the depostions the Fox attorneys claimed that Rupert Murdoch was Fox 'News' Chairman, but had no official role in the Fox 'News' division. Around a week ago, at Easter time, the judge learned that Murdoch also held the title of 'Executive Chair' at Fox News. I can imagine the attorneys saying, "Oh, did we forget that?"

As one who has been following Murdoch rather closely over the years, there's no doubt in my mind that he not only knows what's being broadcast nearly every night on Fox 'News', but he's frequently involved in plotting it. Murdoch's Fox 'News' Damages to Dominion Estimated at $1.6 Billion

But what About the Damages to, and Defamation of, America's Democracy?

Dominion Voting Systems is claiming $1.6 billion in damages. I assume some of that is compensatory and some of that is punitive, and whatever Murdoch's attorneys argue vis a vis trying to manipulate Dominion's attorneys into thinking it's too high, there should be at least as much justification for believing that the punitive damages are too low.

Why?

Because Murdoch's Fox 'News' lies vis a vis Dominion Voting Systems didn't just defame that company, but it also defamed the United States of America. By that I mean they cast doubt on our democracy and people's faith in it. This is treason to the n'th degree. And in my mind, there's no amount of damage awards, that can compensate for that.
