Donald Trump's Record - Should he be Trusted?

To answer that question let's look at the Trump record first. These are only a few of the highlights, as the list is too long to go into at this time and I believe for anyone who wants to know what Donald Trump is really all about, these are the facts, which his supporters have been ignoring for the past decade. And because his supporters ignore these facts, they are - by definition - ignorant. I'm not calling names here. I'm stating a fact.

• Reportedly cheated on at least two of his wives - Ivana and Melania.
• Reportedly cheated numerous contractors who performed work for him. They had to sue him to get paid and because he was far richer than they, they had to settle for far less than what they were owed.
• NYS recently won a lawsuit against Trump for defrauded banks and insurers by inflating the value of his assets in financial statements.
• Doesn't pay taxes, acccording to a 2020 NYT report which showed that Trump didn't pay federal income tax for 10 of the 15 years between 2005 and 2020.
• Started and failed banks and investors with Trump Airline, wherein on September 1990, Trump defaulted on a $1.1 million payment and ownership of the airline was transferred to banks who sold it to U.S. Air.
• Trump University closed its doors by paying a $25 million fraud lawsuit, without admitting wrongdoing.
• Trump was sued for fraud for misrepresenting the numbers surrounding his SoHo Hotel & Condominiums. He settled and a pending criminal case was then dropped.
• The Trump Foundation which according to Greg Wilson CFA writing on MSN, " ... The foundation was scrutinized for unethical and illegal activities, including self-dealing and unauthorized campaign contributions.  Investigations led by the New York State Attorney General culminated in Trump being ordered to pay $2 million in damages for misusing charitable funds for political gains ... ". The three items above, were also sourced from a report by him.
• According to a January 24, 2020 report in the Bergen Record [NJ] Trump still owes $70 million to contractors who had done work on his failed Taj Mahal Casino. A number of them reportedly went broke because of Trump's failure to pay his bills.
• According to May 22, 2017 CNN report, the IRS in a Settlement Agreement with Trump's Taj Mahal Casino, said that they had broken money laundering laws 106 times in the first year and a half of operations. Trump's father sent a man to buy $3.35 million in Taj Mahal chips without cashing them in that day, which amounted to a loan to help the Donald meet an $18 million interest payment due in December of 1990. The Taj Mahal was caught laundering money again in 2015, but by this time Trump only owned a bit of the casino, as he and Ivanka resigned from the Board in 2009.
• According to a May 2010 story by Business Insider, Trump had managed to bankrupt the casino twice, and it eventually sold for 4 cents on the dollar.

Then there's Elon Musk. He also seems to have a record of malfeasance, nowhere near as colorful nor as long as Donald Trump's - but give him time, as he's much younger than the Donald. The allegations surrounding Musk and his companies, include sexual harassment, racism [he's originally from South Africa which was / probably still is a nation with a large number of racists], possible stock market violations and a death caused by one of his AI driven vehicles.

Musk says he's not trying to buy votes for this election with an offer he's making to swing state voters to sign a petition for $47 saying they support the First and Second Amendments. Let's examine this offer in light of election law.

In the graphic at right, put together by Reuters, one can see that Trump's new 'Efficiency Expert', Eloon Musk, may soon have control over all of the agencies he deals with in the federal government. Including five with large contracts [green],

Is Musk Breaking Election Law & why aren't the State & Federal Attorneys General Acting?

There seems to sufficient evidence to file court injunction to stop what seems to be Musk's election fraud & interference via his America PAC. It wouldn't be far fetched to consider as a possibility, that this scheme was inspired or suggested by Vladimir Putin. It appears to be a cover for a vote buying scheme, under the pretense that they are seeking petitioners in support of the 1st and 2nd Amendment, which most - if not all Americans support - only a couple of weeks prior to a general election.

Even a child could figure out that this is a thinly veiled deception to buy votes, which is illegal, and almost as un-American as Elon Musk? The following would be the facts and the reasons to justify seeking a court injunction to halt what appears to be Musk's law breaking effort to undermine the electoral process and buy the votes Trump and Musk need to win themselves relief from the courts and big, big money.

1) MOTIVES. Musk & his companies' have billions of dollars in federal contracts & he says he'll be thrown in prison if Harris is elected [NY Post 10/7/24] and says his Starlink Biz will make billions if Trump elected [Wapo 10/24/24],

2) Musk's thinly veiled vote buying petition only targets the seven swing states [see his website - https://theamericapac.org], specifically Wisconsin, Michigan, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Georgia, Arizona and Nevada.

3) Musk's petitioners offer expires Monday 11/4/24 which is the night before the election [USA Today 10/18/24].

4) Musk has been campaigning w/ Trump in swing states the past couple of months.

5) MOTIVE. Musk and Putin have been having telephone conversations, as reported by the WSJ last Friday 10/25/24. As you know, Putin has been trying to interfere in our elections again, and it's possible to likely that Musk is working in alignment with Putin as a potentially hostile foreign agent. It's worth noting that Musk was not born nor raised in this country [in fact he was an illegal immigrant, before he made it all legal], so he - like a lot of the super wealthy jet setters - may not share the same level of patriotism / loyalty to the country as the average American.

6) As the presidential election increasingly seems to be contingent on the outcome in Pennsylvania, it's worth noting that Musk's America PAC is offering $100 to Pennsylvania voters vs $47 to all other swing state voters [more than 2x]. For details see - https://electionlawblog.org/?p=146397
The report also identifies the election laws Musk is breaking. I would add to that fraud, because it appears to be a vote-buying scheme disguised as a petition, and if Putin is involved in any way, it's election interference by an agent of a hostile foreign nation [Musk & Putin phone calls per the WSJ report 10/25/24].

7) Musk's America PAC is only seeking registered voters.
