Background Regarding the Crumbling News Foundation, Upon which TV News Once Relied
If you've been reading my work, especially in recent times, you'll notice how increasingly frustrated I have become with TV News. If you want to know why America doesn't seem quite right, it's because the TV folks rarely seem to do any real reporting. In times gone by, the real reporting was done by the journalists working for the newspapers, and then the TV newspeople essentially rewrote and then reread the newspaper journalists' work on air.
Newspapers have been decimated by the search engines, specifically Google, undermining the newspaper business models, by using newspapers' content to create a really wonderful apparatus - internet search. But the problem is that the technologists reap most of the advertising revenue, and virtually all of the profit, so that most newspapers can scarcely afford to do much real news anymore, because their staffs are being cut, and they can't invest in real journalism, which costs money.
Fast Forward to the State of Modern TV News Rooms Today
TV News used to generate much larger audiences, and hence ratings and revenue, than they do today. This is because most folks are spending far more time on their cell phones or on their computers, and thus watching far less TV. Part of the reason is the new technologies, but ...
But the other part of the equation is that the content on TV has growing incredibly old and stale. You can probably find as much content on TV today that was created in the 1950's, 1960's, 1970's, 1980's and 1990's as you can find content created in the first quarter century of this millenium. And moreover, most of the content created for TV in this millenium are those super cheap-to-produce games shows, that some segment of the population has the time, interest and / or boredom to watch. And a lot of the rest of the content produced today is either hospital or law enforcement shows, which really narrows the field in terms of viewing options, if you're interested in anything else.
Back to TV News. If you read our reporting on government and politics the past few months, or over the years, we are constantly in pursuit of the back story. Unfortunately, TV News which reaches a far larger audience than we do, make their living reciting headlines, which is not the same as reporting the news. This brings me to telling you why I'm writing this report.
The Real Swamp & The Real Story of Trump and Musk & Why They 'Need' to Win
Musk Didn't Think Trump was the 'Right Guy' in 2016 & Trump Called Musk a "Bullsh@t Artist"
It takes one to know one.
Back then, they were both right. But things have changed. At present both have a common interest in social media and in that business their respective fortunes seem somewhat aligned, as they are both seek to attract the white uneducated males in our country, to whom they have been feeding misinformation and propaganda, as if it were real news. And while financially, that business model doesn't appear to be working, perhaps they can make it work by getting Trump elected.

Truth Social & X.com are Losing Money, Audience, Clients and Revenue
Musk bought Twitter, which reportedly has lost 80% of its value, while Trump started Truth Social in 2022. Both companies are hovering around $9 - $10 billion, even though both companies are reportedly losing money amidst declining revnue. It's possible - especially if Trump loses - that the value of both of those stocks could plummet faster than a neutron star into a black hole, because Truth Social is generating REVENUE per year in the low single digit millions [remember it's valued in BILLIONS], while Musk's X.com has reportedly lost 80% of its revenue and value, and mid double digit percent of its audience.
At this point it seems that advertisers are concerned that X.com is no longer a respectable advertising medium, and at least one analyst has opined that if X.com weren't owned by the world's richest man, it would certainly fail. Truth Social meanwhile somehow achieved an unfathomable valuation, and reportedly one of its two primary shareholders dumped a signiificant portion of their stock five weeks ago, and both major investment companies that purchased shares in Truth Social seem to have been created under what seem to have been very opaque origins, which is generally a bad sign for potential investors. I wonder, whether it was funded with Russian Oligarch cash, and why the SEC hasn't investigated it. If I'm not mistaken, it seems shady financial dealings along these same lines, occurred with both Trump's Taj Mahal Casino and the Trump SoHo apartments and condominiums complex.
Trump's [2016] & Musk's [2024] Relationships with Vladimir Putin
Not a whole lot about Putin and Trump has come up this election cycle, as both men appear to want to downplay what seem their shared values. It's worth reminding people that in the 2016 election, Trump on American TV News, asked Putin to make public any information they had on Hillary Clinton with his now infamous, "Russia if you're listeing."
And again, in 2018 at a summit in Helsinki, Trump also sided with Vladimir Putin instead siding with of our own intelligence agencies, about whether Russia had tried to interfere in our 2016 election. Trump infamously said, "... he had no reason not to believe Putin ... " who had told him that Russia had not interfered. Russian interference in the 2016 election was proven as fact, as Russia tried to sabotage Hillary Clinton's campaign and boost the prospects for the election of Donald Trump.
In 2024, Elon Musk reportedly made a strong effort to kill the Wall Street Journal story released last Friday 10/25/24, about how Elon Musk and Vladimir Putin have been having multiple telephone conversations.
And then came Musk's October surprise, which after teaming up with the Donald, Musk starts offering to give $1 million per day to a registered voter in a swing state and give every voter in seven of the swing states $47 if they sign a petition affirming the 1st and 2nd Amendments, and identify someone who is a registered voter in that state.
As the election grew tighter and Pennsylvania increasingly looked to be the deciding state, Musk ratcheted up what was promised to Pennsylvania petition signers to $100, and the deadline is Monday, November 4th, 2024, the last day before the election. It's illegal to buy votes, but that is exactly what this looks like, and even young and innocent children would be able to figure that out.
So What's being Reported on Happy Talk TV News? Little to None of This
TV News appears to only see what's on the tip of their noses. They have spent plenty of time providing Musk with free advertising of what seems his vote buying scheme, and even the PBS News Hour showed Musk giving away a $1 million dollar check. Is that real reporting or incredibly naive reporting, as PBS essentially allowed themselves to be used as a free publicity outlet for Musk's effort.
Honestly, this stuff just blows my mind, at how incredibly easily the Trump campaign and Elon Musk are able to manipulate the TV News people who have been entrusted to inform us.
Keep reading or you'll miss the gist.
Potential Betrayals - What's Really Going On?
The Web News people at PBS, must not talk to the TV News people at PBS [maybe because the TV Newspeople are such imbeciles]. And the TV News people at PBS must be too lazy to read what the Web News people at PBS publish, because the PBS Web News did a bit of digging into why Musk is spending over $100 million to get Donald Trump elected. Along with spending so much of his time and reputation to do the same.
THIS PARAGRAPH IS CURRENTLY A MIX OF PBS REPORTING & MY TAKEAWAYS FROM RELATED SEARCHES. I don't have the time or resource to do the full magilla on this one at this time. But the gist of the Web PBS reporting along with other searches I did, seemed to hint at the possibility that Musk - who has numerous contracts with the U.S. government - including many of which contain top secret technologies & information - may be trading America in for favors - to / from Russia [by letting Russia use Musk's Starlink satellites against Ukraine, which were launched using NASA invested space technologies] and China [where Musk does a huge share of Tesla's business], both of which have extensive space programs and technologies.
It's worth mentioning that Musk was reportedly an illegal immigrant from South Africa many years ago, before going legal. So Musk's loyalty to the America might not be as strong as someone born here. And I would add to that, that billionaires oftentimes seem more loyal to their money, than anything else.
So it's appears Musk is using his America PAC to try to gain an insider advantage with his largest and most important customer - the U.S. federal government - which has shared leading technologies with Musk & companies, and have become concerned that Musk will betray them / America. From the inside of a second Trump Administration, Musk could quietly shut down any future investigations.
But There's More - Remember 'The Swamp' the Donald Promised to Clean Up in his 2016 Campaign? That he then took on Debt to Dole out $2 Trillion in Tax Cuts largely to the Very Rich? If Trump Wins a 2nd Term 'the Swamp' may come back on Steroids & with Elon Musk Leading the Way
After he became President, Donald Trump proved that he is one of the 'Swamp Monsters', when he dug deep into America's children's pockets, lifted $2 trillion out of them by incurring debt to be paid at a later date, and he then transferred this wealth from unborn children to the richest people in America, and on the Planet, via very generous tax breaks.
If you think Washington is bad now, or was bad during the first Trump presidency, fasten your seatbelt, if Trump wins a second term. Trump and Musk have been playing around with what role Musk would play in a hypothetical 2nd Trump Presidency. Elon is vying for the top spot as the head of 'Swamp Monster Engineering & Development'" where Musk warned us that there's going to be a lot of economic hardship, if he becomes the 'efficiency expert', because he thinks he can cut $2 trillion from the federal budget.
Musk's Companies do a HUGE Amount of Business with the Federal Government
If you're looking for the hard core motives, we're getting there. I found the graphic above, in a 10/31/24 Reuters report entitled 'Judge Declines to Block Elon Musk Voter Giveaway', which shows all of the business Musk has pending with the U.S. federal government.
The chart shows why Musk SHOULD NOT have any role in the U.S. government. It's called Conflict of Interest. Instead of Musk having to plead or sell things to the government, the government agencies are going to be beholden to Musk, should Trump win a second term in which Elon Musk plays any role.
This is where 'We The People' could unravel really quickly.
Do Your Homework First & and Then Vote
If you love this country, do your research, and then think long and hard before voting. If elected, Trump and company have some very radical plans, which appear to be very divisive and seem likely to diminish our democratic role and influence in the world. These plans could benefit dictatorships like Russia, China and North Korea and autocrats like Netanyahu in Israel, who will be emboldened, and rupture our relationships with historical allies and trading partners.
As we've all had far less exposure to Kamala Harris, here's a short video about her, which favors her, but nonetheless is informative - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cA5C5SIGECs
Thanks for reading. Please do your civic duty and vote.

Elon Musk on X.com: Has Putin Replaced his Disinfo Bot Farm with Far More Effective Russian Asset?
Summary Opinion & Footnote. The above report includes some graphics, which hint at the idea that U.S. Intelligence thinks that upsetting a few Putin bot farms has blocked Russia from interfering in the 2024 election. If they truly believe this, they are - in my mind - not very effective in their current roles.
I believe, but cannot prove [except via what seem logical coincidences], that Putin has been developing 'assets' like Trump, Musk and Tucker Carlson [formerly a host on Fox News], to carry Putin's message of division and disruption into the U.S. via the traditional, and not very worldly, TV News organizations.
The timing of when Musk's and Putin's talks began, was around the same time Musk was trying to acquire Twitter. It seems no coincidence that Putin had successfully used Twiiter in prior years, to carry disinformation to the American public / voter. And it's possible that Musk never intended to run Twitter as a legitimate business, but rather as a public opinion manipulation mechanism, which recruits ill-informed, disenfranchised primarily young men, and their friends and stirs them up. Since Musk took over Twitter, it seems to have overdosed on porn and get rich quick schemes, and reportedly continues to disseminate a lot of disinformation, including Russian.
So now, instead of setting up a bot farm, it appears like Putin has set up an insider asset like Elon Musk. Since Musk acquired Twitter [changed its name to X.com], he has been cultivating a cadre of followers, who he seems to manipulate, by tapping into their frustrations and anger, not unlike how Trump stirs his red cap MAGA's, who have succeeded in disrupting and dividing American society from within.
I think that's why Trump has been calling the Democrats 'the Enemies from Within'. Possibly because Trump wants to pre-empt that charge being levelled against him. The truth may yet circle back around to him, as it did with the 'stop the steal' campaign. Will federal law enforcement authorities finally catch up with him, Musk and Tucker Carlson, like they did with the Trump followers after the January 6th Insurrection? And is that why Trump has been ratcheting up the violent rhetoric, to once again stir up his followers to do stupid things again? Or have Trump followers smartened up enough to realize the old adage of '... fool me once shame on you ... fool me twice, shame on me ...'?
Putin and his assets all have a lot to gain if they win this election, and also a lot to lose, if they lose this election. But the same is true for the American People. And if Trump & Company lose - it will not be because America's intelligence services or the TV News competently did their jobs and warned the American people about what is happening in a timely manner - but rather because we all got lucky. And somehow, in spite of a severely broken news and information system, enough Americans sought out and obtained enough accurate, relevant and contextual information, to make the most informed and least risky choice for the person to lead our nation ...
... but bear in mind that this is wishful thinking, because we still have two plus days to go, and nobody seems confident of its final outcome.
