How Corrupt is Mitch McConnell?

Are Republican Senators Really Russian & Chinese Lobbyists?

McConnell Accepted $2.5 Million from Russian Oligarch Company & Accepted $ Millions from Father-in-Law Who Does Big Business with China

September 27, 2018 / NYC Neighborhoods / NYC Politics & Government / Gotham Buzz NYC / News Analysis & Opinion.

Republicans & Democrats need pay heed to the real demographic fault Lines - the fault lines between the Super Rich and everyone else.

In history all conquerors need a strategy to conquer entire peoples, and that strategy is usually one based on a divide and conquer strategy. In the 1700 and 1800's the British were accomplished users of this strategy, aligning with minority groups in the Middle East - so the minority would need to rely on the British help - to maintain their control over the majority. Further away from the center of British power, Hong Kong, an island separate from the Chinese mainland, was used to extract valuable trade from the continent using a defensible locale.

In modern times Hitler used a claim to defend the German minorities in Austria and the Czech Sudetenland, as a pretext for conquering those nations. And today, we see how that strategy has evolved, as Russian and American Oligarchs, manipulate Americans and exploit divisions along ideological lines, in order to strip away the government apparatus of checks and balances embedded in the U.S. Constitution. Like Hitler, they are going about this in a more or less legal manner, in order to add legitimacy to something that in reality is anything but.

2015 - 2016 Campaign: Mitch McConnell & Republicans Receive $7.5 Million from Russians

Mitch McConnell's dedication to and representation of his fellow Americans is highly suspect when you gaze through his campaign funding sources.

According to an August 3, 2017 OpEd in the Dallas News, in the 2015 - 2016 election season Republican Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell's GOP Leadership Fund accepted $2.5 million in donations from Leonid Blavatnik's Access Technologies [$1.5 million] and AI Altep Holdings [$1 million]. The newspaper goes on to report that other top ranking Republicans including Florida Republican Senator Marco Rubio's Conservative Solutions PAC [$1.5 million] and South Carolina Republican Senator Lindsey Graham [$800K] accepted money from the Russian Oligarch's companies. All tolled Republican candidates received $7.5 million in Russian Oligarch money. OpenSecrets.org, a non profit truth seeking organization, was the original source.

NOT ONE of McConnell's Top Funders From Home State of Kentucky

Mitch McConnell's dedication to and representation of his fellow Kentuckians is even more highly suspect when you gaze through his American campaign funding sources.

According to an October 24, 2016 report in the Louisville, Kentucky Courier-Journal, a USA Today affiliated newspaper, between January 2009 and October 2016 McConnell's highest donor was Sheldon Adelson, a Nevada casino operator, who contributed $20 million. During the same period [for all listed in this paragraph = same source], One Nation, a Karl Rove affiliated dark money group, contributed $9 million. Two Houston, Texas based energy companies donated $5.6 million. And three investment companies / hedge funds donated a combined $10 million. There's plenty more from where that came from, as I'm still listing donors above the $2 million mark - and not a one of them is from Kentucky.

Moscow Mitch & Quid Pro Quo?

Do you think the Russian Oligarchy cash had anything to do with McConnell's December 2016 refusal to entertain the idea of a Senate Committee dedicated to investigating the Russian interference in the election? Do you the Russian Oligarchy's contributions had anything to do with the fact that in September of 2018 McConnell said the Senate won't be taking up Russian sanctions until after the election?

How Much of Mitch McConnell's Net Worth Gains - from an Estimated $3 to $36 Million - Came from Wife Elaine Chao's Father & the Chinese Seeking Influence?

In a March 17, 2018 report in the NY Post, author Peter Schweizer's book, Secret Empires: How the American Political Class Hides Corruption and Enriches Family and Friends, is reviewed. In the review the NY Post notes that Mitch McConnell and his wife Elaine Chao were worth about $3.1 million in 2004. Ten years later their wealth had increased to somewhere between $9.2 and $36.5 million.

He goes on to note that Chao's father, who operates the Foremost Group, which is a shipping company that does a significant amount of its business with China. James Chao, McConnell's father-in-law, was a classmate of former Chinese President Jiang Zemin. And Mitch McConnell's wife, Elaine Chao, is now the Trump Administration Transportation Secretary. So Father James Chao is in the shipping business, daughter Elaine Chao is the U.S. Transportation Secretary, and son-in-law Mitch McConnell is the Senate Majority Leader.

Following Marriage to Elaine Chao Mitch McConnell Flip Flops on China?

In 1994, shortly after McConnell's marriage to Elaine Chao, the NY Post report continues, McConnell took hardline positions against China. But by 1999, McConnell's stance had softened considerably, as McConnell opposed supporting Jesse Helms sponsored legislation in support of Taiwanese independence that had 21 Republican co-sponsors and heavy Republican support. In recent years McConnell continues to support China, having fought hard to stop the U.S. Senate from punishing China for undervaluing its currency, when Harry Reid was the Senate Majority Leader.

Sound like the Clinton Cash? It should. Peter Schweizer was author of the 2016 book, Clinton Cash, which was published by Harper Collins, which is a publishing house controlled by the NY Post / Fox News / Wall Street Journal Media Fuhrer, Rupert Murdoch. Murdoch appears to like to be in a position to take down the very people he promotes, as Elaine Chao was once a Board Member of 21st Century Fox. CLICK here to learn about how Rupert Murdoch who controls Fox Fake News, the Wall Street Journal and NY Post seems to undermine our democracy by misinforming his audience in order to get them to vote for candidates he favors who seem willing to grant him favors using public power.

It's worth noting that Mitch McConnell is one of the longest serving members of the Senate Leadership. And yet while Mitch is doing great, Kentuckians lag far behind the rest of the nation with a median income of $47,000 vs the national average of $59,000. So Mitch McConnell is doing great - but the people he represents aren't. Is that a surprise?

So Why is McConnell Rushing Kavanaugh Nomination?

In March of 2016, when then president Obama nominated Merrick Garland for the Supreme Court, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell held off a review of Garland. In a March 16, 2016 NPR report McConnell is quoted as telling the nation,

"The American people are perfectly capable of having their say on this issue, so let's give them a voice. Let's let the American people decide. The Senate will appropriately revisit the matter when it considers the qualifications of the nominee the next president nominates, whoever that might be."

Fast forward to September 24, 2018 and McConnell tells us this on CNN.

"Chairman Grassley will make sure the facts will be heard. Judge Kavanaugh and the American people deserve nothing less."

That same day PBS reports that the Republican Senate majority on the Judiciary Committee scheduled a vote on the Kavanaugh nomination for the morning after Christine Blasey Ford's testimony. Christine Blasey Ford is the woman who accused Brett Kavanaugh of attempting to rape her at a party while they were both teenagers.

Old Saying - Haste Makes Waste

I find this rush to judgment disturbing because within the past week or so, two other accusers of Brett Kavanaugh's alleged sexual misconduct, have come forward. One is a Kavanaugh classmate from Yale - Deborah Ramirez, and the other is an alleged friend from Kavanaugh's high school years in the D.C. area, Julie Swetnick. And there may be a fourth accuser. A CBS Local report on September 27th, 2016 tells us that eleven Maryland lawmakers have asked the Montgomery County police to investigate allegations against Brett Kavanaugh, should the accusers wish them to do so.

So in March of 2016 Mitch McConnell can wait from March through January to let the American people weigh in. But in July of 2018, when Brett Kavanaugh's nomination came up, McConnell UNILATERALLY decided NOT TO LET THE AMERICAN PEOPLE WEIGH IN. And now, in the face of growing evidence of sexual misconduct, McConnell is trying to rush the Senate role in consenting on the nomination of Brett Kavanaugh through without even giving his fellow Senators a chance to fairly weigh in.

This alone would be enough to give one cause for concern. In this report I explore an alternative narrative as to why McConnell - who acts like a Chinese / Russian Lobbyist while pretending to be a 'Red State' Republican Senator - might want to rush Kavanaugh's nominating process. And it's not about Conservative values or Abortion - but rather about possible McConnell cash and payola.

How Corrupt is Mitch McConnell?

McConnell Cash & Brett Kavanaugh Confirmation Hearings

Why is Republican Senate Majority Leader Trying to Rush Kavanaugh Through?

September 27, 2018 / NYC Neighborhoods / NYC Politics & Government / News Analysis & Opinion / Gotham Buzz NYC. Continued.

The Kavanaugh Rush May Not be About American Values, but Possibly McConnell Payola

Let's continue to examine the nomination process, without letting ourselves get sidetracked by the divisive ideological issues that Rupert's Fox propaganda press and Murdoch mouthpieces will spit at us in a relentless cacophony of obnoxious 'honest' opinions. Amplifying the ideological tunes, played by the patronage politicians, plying their pathetic publicity to the American people in a pretension of actually serving them.

Republican Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell seems to me, the quintessential Russian Chinese lobbyist, pretending to be a Conservative Senator representing the great state of Kentucky. So when Mitch McConnell says anything about what he's concerned about for the American people - I interpret that as

'... and now I'm gonna tell you a really Big Lie ...'.

A lie so colossally dishonest that you wouldn't think he's making it up ... like that he wants to let the American people weigh in.

If Mitch McConnell really cared about the American people he wouldn't have stopped the hearings in 2016. And McConnell wouldn't be trying to rush these hearings today before obtaining all of the relevant facts. McConnell says he's trying to do his job - but I reckon that depends on how you define his job. If you define his job as getting things done for the rich and powerful, regardless of the national good, then he's doing his job. If you define his job as serving Kentuckians and the American people - then he appears to be failing us.

Is Republican Senator Mitch McConnell Corrupt?

Senator McConnell appears to be cheating his fellow Senators and the American people of a fair hearing by the ground rules he imposes and the rush he's put on this process. Christine Blasey Ford took a lie detector test. Why hasn't Brett Kavanaugh? That's a simple straight-forward request, that if Kavanaugh were truly innocent, he'd be asking for - not avoiding.

I say Mitch McConnell is a corrupt cheat because I suspect he has ulterior motives. And those motives would be to install a man who is not only possibly guilty of attempted rape, but may also possibly guilty of ignoring the laws set forth in the U.S. Constitution, and lying about all of the above.

But that's not all.

Each of the allegations made above are - on their own - serious enough to cause pause for consideration. The Senate used to be the representational body that was supposed to be comprised of older, wiser, more deliberate [wo]men. That's why they were given six year terms and state-wide influence.

COMPROMISED: Is Brett Kavanaugh's Achilles' Heel a Gambling Problem & Debts?

But - to me - the most serious cause for concern is what appears to be Brett Kavanaugh's Achilles heel - his alleged gambling problem. Brett Kavanaugh reportedly racked up tens of thousands of dollars in gambling debts. One analysis I saw, had difficulty figuring out how Brett Kavanaugh paid off these humongous debts, multiple times.

Chronic deep indebtedness almost always compromises people. Trump appears to have financially compromised himself with the American mob and the Russians [mob?] on multiple occasions. But we can impeach Trump, even if the government officials who pretend to represent us won't. We can vote him out of office in four years and he is term limited in eight.

The implications of a compromised Supreme Court justice, with the deciding vote on issues, may possibly be worse. Many bucks stop there. The Supreme Court is the final arbiter of the rule of law of the land. Oftentimes their decisions stand for decades, if not centuries. And when the Supreme Court is corrupted, the checks and balances of the American system have the potential to get really, really, out of whack. The American people need to take this seriously, because undoing this kind of mistake, won't be as easy as undoing presidential mistakes. And undoing big presidential mistakes isn't easy, as living through George W. Bush should have taught us.

The High Cost of Media Malfunction, Ignorance & Sustained Electoral Stupidity

The Administration of George W. Bush cost us trillions in useless wars and trillions in financial system bailouts. But the corruption of the Supreme Court does not just last for today or four to eight years from now. It could last well into your children's and grandchildren's lifetimes. Which is why getting qualified people, of the highest integrity, is so, so, very important. Brett Kavanaugh may be qualified for the intellectual aspects of the job - but he does not appear qualified in character. In that regard he seems to have much in common with the man who nominated him.

The options of removing a Supreme Court Justice are far more difficult and far more limited. I cannot think of almost anything worse than having a compromised Justice of the Supreme Court, sitting on the bench for some 20, 30 or even 40 or more years - compromising the American people every time he gets into financial trouble because of a gambling problem. Don't we deserve better?

Maybe we do and maybe we don't. The American people have been asleep for decades, while the rich and powerful have been hacking away at our system of government. Nixon was the first reported Presidential violator of laws in the last half century. But then Reagan started conducting illegal arms deals to raise off-the-books money to interfere in the operations of the governments of Central America [Iran / Contra Scandal]. Possibly not coincidentally, that's around the same time Rupert Murdoch showed up in America, as well as when many of the cronies currently exploiting the system today, were coming of age.

Trump & McConnell Withhold Kavanaugh Evidence - What are they Hiding?

Kentucky Senator and Republican Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and the Trump Administration are withholding hundreds of thousands of documents related to the three years that Brett Kavanaugh served in the Bush Administration. There are at least two HUGE issues coming out of this period in Kavanaugh's career that we either have indicative evidence or know about. Brett Kavanaugh appears to have knowingly worked with documents stolen from the Democrats, and he appears to have either ignored the Constitutional Rights of prisoners taken by the CIA, or possibly even condoned the 'cruel and unusual punishment' outlawed in the U.S. Constitution. A man who does not respect the U.S. Constitution shouldn't even be a judge - let alone awarded a lifetime position as a Supreme Court Justice.

Yes, they released 200K pages, but ... The Trump Administration and the Republicans have released 200,000 pages of documents related to Kavanaugh's career, which is comparable to the amount of information released in prior Supreme Court Justice evaluations. This is probably why they released that amount of documentation - so they could claim parity in quantity of pages - but not the quality of them. Two hundred thousand pages of a lot of meaningless information have about the same value as a one blank page. This is like someone selling you a pound of apples, and then giving you a pound of rotten apples. They are both a pound of apples, but there's a difference.

Re-opening an investigation to Kavanaugh like Hillary Clinton's emails. The Donald says the FBI doesn't re-open cases they've closed. What annoyed me on this one is how stupid he must think the American people are. Does he think the American people have forgotten that less than two years ago the FBI re-opened the investigation into the Clinton emails, only days before the election? Perhaps. Perhaps he believes that because the empty, knuckleheaded TV reporters who are covering him, and who work for the large Pulitzer Putz awarded corporations, didn't make reference to that recent example at all.

The Importance of the Integrity of a Supreme Court Justice

A Supreme Court Justice can sit on the bench for the rest of our lives. They are the final arbiters of the rule of law. These people either command respect and inspire faith in the system, or not. There are many, many serious questions surrounding Brett Kavanaugh's nomination that merit a more serious look, if not imply that his name should withdrawn from the process.

But Mitch McConnell isn't hearing of it. Why?

Well I'm pretty certain it's not the Kentucky voters so much as the billionaires.

Billionaires like media Fuhrer, Rupert Murdoch, who controls Fox News, the WSJ and the NY Post [and had previously named Elaine Chao as a Board member of Fox], and others like Sheldon Adelson who reportedly contributed tens of millions to Trump's campaign, and still others like the Russian Oligarchs who have controlling interest in companies operating in America, which can contribute millions to McConnell and his seemingly corrupt allies in the Senate.

Divide & Conquer the Masses & Then Cash in Bigtime

None of the key issues raised have anything directly to do with Roe v. Wade, nor Kavanaugh's opinion regarding Presidential privilege. In my mind, highlighting those issues seems like setting up smoke screens to divide the American people and it seems like it's being done by Republican Senators who are behaving as if they are really Russian Lobbyists.

Most of the things that happen in Washington, D.C. are ultimately about money - like the Iraqi War for ratings & oil. And Brett Kavanaugh's votes have been in sync with the big business interests operating in this nation 87% of the time. He rules in favor of big business, against small businesses and consumers, and against the environment which is generally a proxy for residents' and workers' human health and safety.

Are Murdoch's Fox Fake News & These Phony Republican Senators Undermining Our Democracy?

We can allow the Russian Lobbyists posing as Republican Senators disrespect us again, and again and again by paying us, the American people, plenty of Fox Fake News lip service, and then robbing us in plain sight without us even realizing it.

But these relentless, insidious attacks on our system - like a failed education - eventually adds up, year after year, to real failure down the line. In this case undermining our courts will also undermine our rights and freedoms, choices and opportunities.

Americans need only look around the world, to places like Russia, China, Latin America, Africa and the Middle East, to see that other, arbitrary systems, dominated by a few, also leads to wasted talent. And it takes the lives of many intellectual 'elitest' dissidents, journalists, community activists and soldiers to win it back.

Throughout history few people living in these lands ever had even the remotest opportunity to reach anything remotely nearing their full potential. Click here for a report identifying the many technological advances that have occurred since the American colonists established the U.S. government.

I hope that enough Republican Senators will side with the American people, instead of giving us 'Russian & Chinese Lobbyist' lip service that these 'red' [state] Senators - like Republican Mouse Majority Leader Senator Mitch McConnell does.

McConnell appears to serve his campaign funders - not his fellow Kentuckians - so that he can keep filling his already stuffed pockets.
