NYC Weather. The temperature highs will fall from the mid 70's on Friday to just below 60 on Saturday, and then rising back into the low to mid 60's on Sunday and Monday. The temperature lows will start around 50 on Friday, and then falling to the mid 40's on Saturday, rising to the high 40's on Sunday and Monday. The humidity will be in a comfortable 50% - 65% range all weekend. No rain is in the forecast, so all in all it looks to be perfect fall weekend weather through the holiday. Enjoy it as the winter is a'coming.

There's a Columbus Day Parade on the Upper East Side on Monday 10/10/22. The Manhattan Columbus Day Parade begins at 12 noon on Fifth Avenue at 44th Street and marching up to 72nd Street along the Upper East Side. Saturday, October 8, 2022 rescheduled from October 1 [weather] from 10 am - 5 pm The Fall for Arts Festival was to return to Roosevelt Island. In Southpoint Park at FDR Four Freedoms Park on the Rivercross Lawn on Roosevelt Island. A day full of activities for everyone including murals painting, arts & crafts, musical performances and food vendors. Free.
Durga Puja ends this weekend at various locations throughout NYC, but most notably in the Woodside, Jackson Heights, Jamaica and Richmond Hill neighborhoods in Queens. Durga Puja celebrates the goddess Durga, who is a motherhood figure representing the victory of good over evil. The celebrations, which cover a week of activity, are also something of a Hindu harvest festival. On Saturday and Sunday, October 8 & 9, 2022 from 10 am - 4 pm and 12.30 - 4.30 pm respectively, the St Lukes Rummage sale returns to Forest Hills in Queens. The sale is held at St. Lukes Episcopalian Church at 83 Greenway South in Forest Hills. The sale is quite different from the usual street fair markets in that they the sale offers used vintage and boutique fashions, books, recordings, jewelry, men’s, women’s and children’s clothing, toys, linens, appliances, housewares and more.

Saturday, October 8, 2022 parade begins at 12 pm - Annual Columbus Day Parade. Begins at 61st Street and 18th Avenue [aka Cristoforo Columbo Blvd] down to 86th Street following a 10.15 am Mass at St. Athanasius Church at 2154 61st Street in Bensonhurst / Mapleton. The parade ends at 18th Avenue / 86th Street / Benson Avenue where a street fair / festival follows the parade and runs until 6 pm along Benson Avenue between 18th Avenue and 19th Street. Saturday, October 8, 2022 from 10.30 am - 7 pm. Panamanian Pre-Independence Day Parade & Festival. Begins at Bergen Street, heading down Franklin Avenue. Turns west at President Street and heads north along Classon Avenue ending at Eastern Parkway by the Brooklyn Museum. From Friday, September 30 - Sunday October 9, 2022 on the weekends [including Thursdays] only from 5 - 10 pm on Thursdays and Fridays, two seatings on Saturday from 12 noon - 4.45 pm and from 5.15 - 10 pm; and on Sunday from 12 noon - 8 pm - Zum Schneider Fest. This is a traditional Bavarian Oktoberfest which heretofore had been held in Manhattan along the East River at 23rd Street. Things To Do This Weekend in the Bronx NYC
There's also the 45th Annual Bronx Columbus Day Parade which starts at 12 noon on Sunday 10/9/22 at Barnes Avenue [near White Plains Rd] and Morris Park Ave, then turns left on Williamsbridge Rd, and eventually ends at Lydig Avenue [one block shy of the Pelham Parkway] in the Morris Park neighborhood of the Bronx.
There's an Indigenous People's celebration at Icahn Stadium on Randalls Island on Sunday and Monday. Details coming.
Saturday, October 8, 2022 [rescheduled from October 1] from 12 noon - 3 pm - Randall's Island Park Alliance Festival - This festival includes pumpkin decorating, glitter tattoos, face painting and scarecrows. Farm exploration & harvest sampling, cider & doughnuts, and a pop-up shop with Boogie Down Books. Also live music by Pete Nater & Associates. In the Urban Farm near Fields 62 - 63 in Randall's Island, just north of Ward's Meadow on the southeast tip of the island. Cider, cookies, doughnuts, dance class, pumpkin decorating, Latin dance class and live music. The Randall's Island Park Alliance is hosting a harvest celebration. Free.
Things To Do This Weekend on Staten Island NYC
Friday - Monday, October 7 - 10, 2022 from 6 pm - 11 pm Fri, Saturday 12 noon - 11 pm, Sunday 12 noon - 9 pm, Monday 12 noon - 6 pm - Italian Festival at the Mount. At Mount Loretto at 6481 Hylan Blvd in the Charleston neighborhood of Staten Island [near Prince's Bay & Pleasant Plains]. The event includes food, beer, rides, culture and entertainment. This replaced the Columbus Day Parade celebration in New Dorp starting in 2014. Admission $5 Adults / Kids free.

The Staten Island art, craft and gift show returns to the Staten Island Mall from Wednesday, October 5th thru Monday, October 10, 2022 from 11 am - 7 pm on Wednesday & Thursday, Friday & Saturday from 10 am - 8 pm, and Sunday 12 noon - 6 pm. At the Staten Island Mall at 2655 Richmond Avenue in the New Springville neighborhood. It's a gift fair.
