things to do nyc this weekend events nyc manhattan queens brooklyn bronx staten island nyc weekend eventsJuly 3, 2026 / NYC Neighborhoods / NYC Things To Do Events / News Analysis & Opinion / Gotham Buzz NYC.

The photo at right was taken near 30th Street at 11th Avenue of the Macy's 4th of July fireworks display on the Hudson River in a prior year.

Sunrise 5.29 am. Sunset 8.30 pm. We're getting 15 hours & 1 minute of sunlight, or five hours and 46 minutes more of sunlight than we were getting the week of the Winter Solstice, on December 21, 2025 when the sun rose at 7.18 am and the sun set at 4.31 pm. The Winter Solstice is the shortest day of this year, providing 9 hours and 13 minutes of sunlight in NYC.

NYC Weather - NYC Can Differ Slightly / Significantly vs TriState TV News Forecasts. There's a 40% chance of 1/10th inch of rain being dropped after 9 pm Friday, and 1/4 inch of rain being dropped Saturday sometime after 4 pm into Saturday night. And there's a 60% chance of over 1/3 inch of rain Sunday, beginning sometime in the afternoon. The temperature highs will be around 100 on Friday & Saturday, falling to 85 on Sunday. The temperature lows will be in the mid 80's Friday and Saturday, falling to the high 70's on Sunday. The winds will range from 4 - 7 mph on Friday and Saturday, then levelling off at 4 mph on Sunday. And the humidity is going to swing from the high 40% range Friday and Saturday to the high 70% range, and then jumping to between the mid 50% to the low 90% range on Sunday.

Saturday, July 4, 2026 at 5 am. This is a solid rendition of the 4th of July fireworks and related special events in all 5 boroughs of NYC. We've completed front page and the attendant pages - excepting parades and street fairs which we'll complete sometime Saturday. But most of what we will be posting in the attendant pages we've already included in this Weekend Post since it's almost [but not all] 4th of July related. Also, use the links below to see the full 4th of July events for each borough. We will also socially post links sometime Saturday via BSky.app, Facebook and X.com. Please Like or be-Friend us, to stay abreast of events, and obtain news related to your borough. This week we continue to strivetoward providing a mix of weekly news posts.

things to do nyc this weekend events nyc manhattan queens brooklyn bronx staten island nyc weekend eventsThe photo above or at right was taken was taken at Tonita Fest in Williamsburg Brooklyn last Sunday. You can see by the smiles on these folks' faces, that they were having a pretty good time. Live music, Caribbean dance, food and drinks; cage soccer / futbol and a cooperative climate, as it was about 80 degrees, with a light breeze and not too humid. Technically it's a one block party, but it has grown so much, that I highly recommend expanding it next year to encompass many blocks - not just one - to give people more room to drink, eat, dance, converse and just plain move about.

See NYC section above for the Tall Ships, Blue Angels and Macy's Fireworks Display info.
