Sunday, April 26, 2026 from 5 to 7 pm - Cafecito at the Campaign Office with NYS Senator Jessica Ramos - at 82-19 Roosevelt Avenue in Jackson Heights. Entrance is on 83rd Street. Here's a story about Ramos' challenger, Jessica Gonzales-Rojas, that voters should know about, as 'Black Edge' Steve Cohen seemed to buy his way into a casino license by flipping the votes of legislators who talk the talk to voters, but then go walk the walk for the billionaires who fund their campaigns. The billionaire funding is used to distract voters with happy talk TV nonsense, via super shallow reporting [if reporting at all] about the things that are going on right under voters' noses. The manipulated perceptions foisted on voters via corporate broadcast TV News, is then augmented by the billionaire funded ads, placed on the same billionaire controlled TV and radio news outlets. Voters can make a difference by donating their time, if they can't afford to donate any money, so your chosen candidates can channel your energy into knocking on doors or making phone calls. That's how this nation started [knocking on doors and passing around leaflets], and I reckon, if we're ever going to win back all that we have lost in the past 50 years, that's how it's going to be done. Mamdani and AOC both showed that it's very possible. But it's not easy. For details and / or to get involved see - https://www.ramosforstatesenate.com/meet-jessica

Dedication to the Members of the American Military this Easter Weekend

Here are a couple of old tunes I heard this past week, that made me think of our fellow Americans, whose lives Donald J. Trump has decided to put in harms way, even though he himself deferred out of the Vietnam draft four times, including making a very dubious claim that he had a disqualifying condition of bone spurs. Was that another Trump lie?

The first is from the 1970's by Marvin Gaye - What's Going On. And the second one is more recent by Alicia Keyes - Underdog about sons and daughters on the front line, as well as about first responders and single mothers living paycheck to paycheck. Unlike Donald J. Trump, the men and women in the military don't get to fly back to Mara Lago on Air Force One at the taxpayers' expense to go golfing every weekend. Currently tens of thousands of Americans are risking their lives because Donald J. Trump and his bone headed staff made quite a number of reckless and ill considered decisions. In addition to risking the loss of many Americans' lives, they are also squandering hundreds of billions of dollars on tech billionaires' and Israel's war, and funding it by yanking government benefits and services from the American working class, while dumping vast amounts of debt on babies and the unborn.

Disgusted by Failed Reporting of Billionaire TV News & Super Weak Federal Leadership

I'll save my Tirade about the Incompetents in the U.S. Senate & House for another time. But let me just say, I don't understand why we're paying anything to both Republican and Democratic Senate Leaders [Thune & Schumer], and the House Speaker [MAGA Mike Johnson]. They are failing the American people, including those who made the horrible mistake of voting for them. But a significant part of the blame also needs to be levied against Network TV News - particularly billionaire, life-long, war monger and profiteer - Rupert Murdoch.

Murdoch's Fox News - has generally misled its viewers about what's going on in the world, since Fox News inception. The middle class and lower classes have lost $79 TRILLION to the top 1% [of which billionaire Murdoch is a member], since 1975, in some significant part, because too many people have been watching and trusting Rupert Murdoch's propaganda machine outlets [includes Fox News, the NY Post, WSJ, London Times, Sun, Australian] to provide them with information about the world around them. Murdoch's outlets don't inform the public, they manipulate it, by fabricating stories, sensationalizing distractions and non-issues, and omitting what they don't want their viewers to know. Jefferson said those who think they can remain ignorant and free, believe in something that never was and never will be.
