This past summer, Prime Minister Theresa May's British government failed.
CANCER OF MURDOCH - Did Murdoch's Mass Media Assault Cause the Failure of PM May's Government?
Why? Because the British press, dominated by Rupert Murdoch, seemed to lead a media assault on her, in tandem with Murdoch's broad portfolio of political puppets, Pinocchio propaganda pundits, and other super rich media owners.
Murdoch controls The Times, The Sun - two of Britain's leading daily newspapers - and ITV one of the top two largest broadcast television networks in Britain. What seems his portfolio of British political puppets included former Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher who waved through his questionable acquisition of The Sun [?] and The Times, former Prime Minister Tony Blair who gave Murdoch his Iraqi War for TV ratings, and former Prime Minister David Cameron who reluctantly gave Murdoch Brexit.
King Murdoch Seems to Keep Pols & Media Folks as Courtiers of his Royal Court
The current cadre of Murdoch puppets appears to include Murdoch compensated pundit Nigel Farage of the Brexit Party, Parliamentarian Michael Gove who was once employed by Murdoch, Les Hunt who appeared to be caught red handed passing government information to Murdoch's organization to wave through the acquisition of the remaining portion of Sky News that Murdoch did not already own. It only failed - in part because of a New York Times story, which lent support to the notion that British authorities weren't doing their job [Metropolitan Police Commissioner Paul Stephenson resigned after it was disclosed he'd met with Murdoch organization officials 18 times] and that Murdoch's fake news organization was hacking and stealing and publicizing people's private information.
You would think that the real British press - those that are not a part of the billionaire propagandist's properties - would call out Rupert Murdoch for the continuous stream of distorted reports, omissions of key facts in reports [see Murdoch series for a number of 'Murdoch fake news' reporting instances mostly in America] and blatant demagoguery so that the British electorate would know what Murdoch appears to be doing behind the scenes.
But at best, they appear inept, and given that Murdoch has been operating media in Britain since 1968 [over 50 years], and doing his propaganda thing - including a front page announcement of it on The Sun following the election of 19xx. Ever since it appears he's been punishing those who don't bend to his will and rewarding those who do with electoral victories made possible by unrelenting propaganda support from Murdoch's fake 'news' organization which controls an overwhelming share of the nation's mass media.
The only way to defeat propaganda is to confront it with the truth.

Does Murdoch Control the Original & Biggest Fake News Org Inside English Speaking Democracies?
Unlike Hitler's and Goebbel's Nazi propaganda machine, Murdoch's propaganda machine is operating right in the midst of three of the biggest English language democracies [the U.S., Britain and Australia] on the planet. Murdoch already controls the largest shares of print and broadcast media in each of these nations.
In Australia Murdoch has near a monopoly share of the traditional mass media, and he would have had something near a monopoly share in Britain had he not been outbid by Comcast for control of Sky News. In the U.S. Murdoch completed the inverted takeover of Disney / ABC this year, making Murdoch the largest shareholder of that corporation - so that now he's involved in the top level oversight of two or half of America's four national TV networks.
Murdoch appears to use his overwhelming control of media to fill his own pockets. I've documented a significant amount of Murdoch's propaganda for profit history in this report series - Rupert Murdoch and the Rise of the 21st Century Propaganda Press aka is Murdoch Undisputed King of Fake News?
Murdoch has repeatedly denied he uses his media to fill his own pockets, but the 'circumstantial evidence' appears overwhelming. Murdoch also has repeatedly told the public he supports 'diversity in media' and appears to have used that argument to make some of his acquisitions in Britain and the NY Post in America. But the minions of his propaganda machine seem to goose step to Murdoch's wishes, like when hundreds of his newspapers beat the war drums leading up to the Iraqi War - based on the fake news that Iraq was stockpiling Weapons of Mass Destruction aka WMD.

MURDOCH CANCER - Are Rupert Murdoch's Sun, Times & ITV
"a CANCER eating the heart of [our] democracy"?
There's been a journalistic / political failure in Australia, Britain and soon to be in America - on how to deal with the ongoing growth of Murdoch
"cancer eating the heart of [our] democracy"
as Kevin Rudd, former Australian Prime Minister, stated in an OpEd in the Sydney Morning Herald on August 27, 2018.
Rudd went on,
"But on top ... manipulating each of them [Australian Prime Ministers], has been Rupert Murdoch - the greatest cancer on the Australian democracy. Murdoch is not just a news organization. Murdoch operates as a political party, acting in pursuit of clearly defined commercial interests, in addition to his far-right ideological world view."
MURDOCH CHARADE - Murdoch's NewsCorp or PropagandaCorp?
For my money, Rudd doesn't go far enough, as Murdoch doesn't run a news organization - he runs a propaganda machine which only works if the 'news organization front' is believed. And anyone who credits Murdoch's organization as a 'news' organization - not a fake news organization / aka propaganda machine - is guilty of adding credibility to the charade.
Charade is defined as " an absurd pretense intended to create a respectable appearance."
But nonetheless, Rudd has come as close as any of the pundits and pols I've seen, to accurately depicting what Murdoch does. He moves politicians around the national stage like pieces on a chessboard, and his Pinocchio propagandists spin narratives that seem to coincide with what Murdoch appears to want people to believe - regardless of the facts.
MURDOCH CHARADE - Rupert Murdoch Seems as Much a Real Newsman as Al Capone was a Respectable Restaurateur
A propaganda machine will only work if the majority of people don't believe it's a propaganda machine. So all of the competing mass media outlets that play along with Murdoch's 'news' charade, as well as all of the politicians who treat the propaganda machine like they are providing objective, third party news accounts - is enabling the propagandist's mass deceit.
The best analogy I can come up with is that Murdoch appears to be running a news organization - not a propaganda machine - in much the same way that Al Capone ran Italian restaurants - not a criminal bootlegging organization. The real journalists working at The Sun, The Times and ITV are only providing cover for those who are real propagandists disguised as journalists.
MURDOCH CHARADE - Just How Stupid are the Journalists and Politicians Serving English Speaking Democracies?
It has been over 50 years since Rupert Murdoch began his propagandist assault on British democracy. And yet here we are today and the real British press and honest British pols continue to play along with, and thus enable the Murdoch charade that he's running a mass media 'news' organization - not a propaganda machine.

Brexit appears to be a Murdoch tax break policy. The new taxes from the joining of the European Union were to begin this year, which is why it seems Murdoch was so anxious to have Britain make the break. And, as one pundit reported, Murdoch wants Brexit because he gets his way at Downing Street, and doesn't get his way in Brussels.
ABSOLUTE MONARCH - KING Murdoch - Manipulator of the People & a Very Gullible Former Prime Minister David Cameron
A few years back I did a piece about how Murdoch seemed to trick former Prime Minister David Cameron - once seeming to be a Murdoch puppet - into pushing forward the Brexit referendum, after Murdoch reportedly said he would support Bremain. Of course, then Murdoch didn't Bremain, and in fact undermined it with a torrent of negative mass media propaganda posing as 'news', which resulted in the passage of Brexit.
SHOW SUN ATTACKS ON BREXIT
MEDIA FUHRER - Rupert 'Goebbels' Murdoch Says 'LET THE VOTERS DECIDE' Because He Controls the Lion's Share of the Nation's Mass Media & he Knows a Huge Block of the Voting Electorate Relies upon His Propaganda Machine to Inform Them or Rather Keep Them Ignorant
Murdoch's headlines frequently say "Let the Voters Decide" and "Let the People Decide". And like so much of what Murdoch does and says - it seems just another deceit.
What Murdoch really means is let the voters decide - but only if voters use the incomplete, distorted, misleading and sometimes just plain false information that he, King Rupert Murdoch the Media Fuhrer, provides to them. Murdoch has created a rigged voting system, where he uses his overwhelming share of media to get what he wants regardless of the consequences to the public.
It Seems LETTING THE VOTERS DECIDE in Britain is Really LETTING MURDOCH DECIDE
That's why Murdoch pushed Cameron to put Brexit / Bremain to a vote. Because Murdoch could strongly influence the electoral outcome, by convincing the brain dead Brits who rely on his propaganda outlets to get their sports, big boobs photos, and gossip to vote for something that is likely good for him and likely not good for most of them.
One of the first British electoral outcomes Murdoch appeared to have swayed, was in helping Thatcher become Prime Minister, so she could help him bust the unions operating in the newspapers she'd help him purchase. Many of the Sun readers were believed to be working class unionists who it's believed took Murdoch's mendacious minions' advice and voted for Thatcher because 'she was good for the nation' when it was that she was 'good for Murdoch'.
I suspect Brexit is much the same. Murdoch probably wants it because it's good for him and doesn't give a rats ass what's good for the nation, because he's not a citizen and not a resident - so why should he care?
That's also likely why Boris Johnson, who's not very popular, advocated for an election shortly after getting into office. I'm surmising that he knew that Murdoch would support him and that whoever Murdoch supports wins - if the past couple of decades of British politics are any guide. It's the same in Australia, and they're even less informed because Murdoch's share of media is that much larger. Murdoch's not yet there in American politics, but both Bush Jr. and Trump are Murdoch appointees - so that's two of the last three American presidents.
The voters who rely on Murdoch media aren't deciding, because they don't know the whole truth as has been shown in several studies of Fox 'News' audience knowledge of current events.
SHOW ATTACKS BY SUN ON POLS
MEDIA FUHRER - Murdoch the Destroyer - Appears to Undermine Democracy by Attacking Government Institutions, Candidates & Competitors who Get in his Way
If you step back and look at Murdoch's media headlines and stories you'll see an unrelenting barrage unapologetic demagoguery and negative attacks on the nation's institutions and the people fighting for them. And you'll also see another barrage of sycophantic, promotional distorted slew of reports promoting Murdoch current and potential puppets.
His media outlets appear to have added Facebook, Google and Amazon to their attack schedule - because the media controlled by these corporations provide the electorate with information alternatives that they didn't previously have. Like pols who won't give Murdoch what he wants, Murdoch seems to attack these corporations with subtle propaganda reports, in order to undermine them in the same manner as he appears to do to politicians, as both can potentially dilute Murdoch's incredible control over politicians and sway with the dumbass electorate, that currently relies on Murdoch to support and inform them respectively.
ROYAL INTRIGUE - After Setting the National Stage - KING Murdoch Appears to Move his Puppet Pol Chess Pieces Around the Board, like Voldemort Manipulated his Minions Peter Pettigrew, Lucius Malfoy & Others in Harry Potter
At the time of Cameron's resignation, Murdoch appeared to have 'influence' over three of the four contending pols. Michael Gove once worked for a Murdoch media outlet. It's worth noting that in Australia former Prime Minister Tony Abbott also once worked for Murdoch, was promoted to Prime Minister and subsequently 'failed' to submit follow up court documents in a tax case between Murdoch's Newscorp and the government of Australia, resulting in a nearly $900 million windfall for Murdoch's organization.
Les Hunt not only was Cameron's errand boy to obtain King Rupert's blessing at the time Cameron was making his first play for Prime Minister, but Hunt was also reportedly passing information along to Murdoch's Newscorp regarding the Cameron government's favorable review of Murdoch's proposed acquisition of the rest of Sky News [which would have given Murdoch a near monopoly share of market in that nation]. In spite of what should have been Hunt's career ending breach of public trust, Cameron retained Hunt, and in 2016 Hunt was one of those contending for the Prime Minister spot - and he was again this year.
Last, but not least, is Prime Minister Boris Johnson. He too 'may' have served King Rupert while he was Mayor of London while Murdoch was having trouble with both Scotland Yard and the Met [London Police] over which the Mayor of London now presides, but at the time for which he had control of budgets. Murdoch invited Boris for dinner and Boris reportedly went ... at least once.
So fast forward to a few months ago, after Murdoch's media assault on Prime Minister Theresa May succeeded in toppling her government, and one of Murdoch's top three puppet pol choices was finally named British Prime Minister.
Why are British Reporters & Pols Still Playing Along with the Murdoch CHARADE & Still Talking About them as if They're a Real News Organization?
What Happened to Reporters & Pols who Knew How to Pay Attention & Call Out the Real Stories?
Boris wasn't that popular in his own party. In fact nearly two dozen of them rebelled against his Brexit or Bust policy, including the grandson of Winston Churchill. And yet Boris 'bravely' fought on.
The British electorate was split, with polls indicating there was some leaning toward BREMAIN at the time Boris came to office. And yet Boris 'bravely' fought on.
Boris was only in office just a few weeks and he vowed to implement Brexit no matter what. Why did Boris 'bravely' take up this fight so quickly?
WHY aren't the journalists and other pols asking whether Boris has shown 'bold bravery', or whether he's a puppet executing the plan of a global propagandist who has rigged the British electoral system by controlling an overwhelming share of that nation's media?
It's my hypothesis that Boris has shown 'boldness and bravery' not because he's bold or brave, but because he knows he has the support of perhaps the only opinion - the only voice - that counts in British politics - the voice of King Rupert 'Goebbels' Murdoch. With Murdoch's mendacious media blasting 24/7 in Boris' favor, while simultaneously attacking anyone who opposes him, Boris - like Trump and Hitler before them - can do anything as the mindless masses relying on the overwhelming share of the Murdoch / Goebbels spin machine will support him.
THE GREAT PRETENDER - KING Rupert Pretends to run a News Organization
The Question is Why do the Victimized Pols and Competitive Media Play Along?
King Rupert Murdoch may get his TAX BREXIT. And he'll continue to scream "LET THE PEOPLE DECIDE' just as long as he gets to provide 'the corrupt information they use to make their decisions'.
If the British press, pols and nation don't stop playing along with Murdoch's 'news' organization charade, Britain may soon enough cease being a real democracy, and become a Murdochracy, like Australia, where Murdoch controls a monopoly share of newspapers, and a near majority or majority of broadcast TV.
This is a hugely regressive development where Murdoch gets anything he wants and everyone else can piss off. It's a return to the old days, when the Kings and Queens and royals controlled everything, setting the rules and scarfing up resources, while everyone else got crumbs.
ACCIDENTAL PROPAGANDA - Real News Organizations and Honest Pols Seem to Perpetrate the Murdoch 'News' Myth
Any pundit who talks about national politics in Britain, Australia and the United States - without talking about the role that Rupert Murdoch's propaganda machine plays in corrupting it - is guilty of such poor, uninformative and misleading reporting, that it's what I'd call accidental propaganda. Because these people are perpetrating Murdoch's Big Lie.
As stated in the beginning of this piece, the only way to thwart a propaganda machine is to expose it with the truth.
I wish you the best of outcomes in the upcoming election, and with giving King Murdoch his Tax Brexit or BREMAINing in the European Union with an influential role.
