NYC Weekend Weather. The temperature highs will be around 90 and the temperature lows around 80. The humidity will be around 70% all weekend and winds will be 5 - 10 mph all weekend. There's a 40% - 50% chance of one to two tenths of an inch of rain each day, with the best chances on Friday evening between 7 and 8 pm, on Saturday between 12 noon and 5 pm, and on Sunday between 12 noon and 2 pm.

Things To Do This Weekend in Manhattan NYC
Saturday July 30 - August 7, 2022 - The Giglio Festival in East Harlem began last week between 448 - 456 East 116th Street between 1st and Pleasant Avenues with a church service and a few festivities, including the dressing of the Giglio on Saturday, July 30, 2022 beginning at 8 am, followed by the Annual East Harlem Giglio BBQ. The celebration then resumes in earnest Thursday evening, August 4th between 114th and 116th Streets along Pleasant Avenue, with food, music and dance, which continues on Friday, August 5th, until about 8 pm. On Saturday, August 6, there's the Children's Giglio at 7 pm at Pleasant Avenue and East 115th Street, which is preceded by food and performance events beginning at 12 noon, including a singing performance by Biagio. On Sunday the fun continues between 12 noon and 7 pm, with the Giglio lifts beginning sometime after 1.30 pm until about 7 - 8 pm.
August 3 - 13, 2022 - Asian American International Film Festival. This year [2022] they're back with live events and in person screenings at the Asia Society & Museum on the Upper East Side. The Asia Society & Museum is located at 725 Park Avenue at East 70th Street on the Upper East Side of Manhattan NYC. Tickets are $16 / $10 - For details see www.aaiff.org.
Saturday, August 6, 2022 from 11 am - 5 pm - Rockefeller Block Party / Christies Auction House / Hip Hop. The focal point is the skating rink at Rockefeller Plaza, but we're informed this event consists of 100 blocks in all five boroughs. Thru Sunday, August 7, 2022 at various times - SHENYC Festival - at Connelly Theater at 220 East 4th Street in the East Village of Manhattan NYC. This festival showcases women / gender marginalized writers, composers and directors. Paid summer theater in the East Village in Manhattan NYC. Tickets at www.shenycarts.org / $35 per show or you can obtain a discount of $10 or $30 by buying 2 or 3 shows for $60 or $75.

Thru Saturday, August 6th, 2022 - Mostly Mozart Festival Orchestra - This part of the program is pay-what-you-will and indoors. This is NOT the Mostly Mozart Festival as it was in prior years, but rather a group bearing the name with some connections. These are paid summer outdoor concerts at Lincoln Center on the Upper West Side of Manhattan NYC.
On Thursdays thru Sundays, July 28 - August 21, 2022 from 6.30 - 8.30 pm / Macbeth - A Shakespearean classic. On the north patio of the Soldiers & Sailors Monument which can be accessed at West 89th Street and Riverside Drive on the Upper West Side. Take the steps behind the monument down to the large patio. CoVid Guidelines. Proof of vaccination and the wearing of a mask are still required. Also attendees must be seated before the 6.30 pm opening. Free.
Thursday, August 4 - Sunday, August 14, 2022 - The Little Shakespeare Festival. Friday - Sunday, August 5 - 14, 2022 beginning at various times - Festival of Cinema [formerly the Kew Gardens Film Festival]. They're showing a mix of independent films including documentary, drama, shorts and comedy. At the Regal United Artists Midway at 108-22 Queens Boulevard in Forest Hills. Friday & Saturday, August 5 & 6, 2022 - Jamaica JAMS Music Festival runs from 6 - 10 pm Friday, and the Jamaica JAMS music festival and street fair runs from 11 am to 7 pm Saturday - Friday evening from 6 pm - 10 pm in the northwest corner of Rufus King Park for the music festival. On Saturday from 11 am - 7 pm along Jamaica Avenue from Parsons Blvd to 170th Street. Music, food and street shopping. The biggest street fair in Queens. JAMS stands for Jamaica Arts & Music Summer. In the course of his flight he wins a contest and the prized princess, impregnates her, loses her in childbirth, and goes on to other adventures before reuniting with his daughter and wife [who was found alive swept to shore]. Gantry Plaza State Park is located at 4-09 47th Road along the East River. Free.

Ending Saturday, August 6, 2022 - BRIC Celebrate Brooklyn Festival. BRIC stands for Brooklyn Information and Culture and was founded in 1979 to revitalize Brooklyn through arts and culture. Daily thru October 30, 2022 - Walk Among Dinosaurs. This isn't a movie per se, but perhaps even better than one. The Bronx Zoo has an exhibit of 52 life-sized dinosaurs, some of which have animatronics in them. The Bronx Zoo is located at 2300 Southern Blvd in the Bronx. For decades the first Sunday of August people gather in Crotona Park in The Bronx to cookout, spend time with family and to catch up with old friends. This annual tradition brings thousands of people out to have a good time listening to music, dancing, eating, playing cards ... this year Forest Playground Neighborhood Association (F.P.N.A.) and CTS Productions is teaming up to bring some of the hottest local entertainers ... at the Crotona Park Amphitheatre located at 559 Claremont Pkwy, Bronx, NY 10457..." Crotona Park is located just south of the Cross Bronx Expressway [east 174th Street], east of Fulton Avenue, north of Crotona Park South and west of Crotona Park East in the Crotona Park neighborood in the center of the Bronx.
