Things To Do This Weekend in the Bronx NYC
Thursday, August 11 - Sunday, August 21, 2022 from 6 pm - 10 pm St Helena Summer Fair. Times may vary on the weekend. It's an old fashioned carnival with rides, games, food and beverages. At the Church of St. Helena in the Parking Lot at 1315 Olmsted in Parchester, near Castle Hill in the Bronx. For details see https://www.churchofsthelena.com/.

Daily thru October 30, 2022 - Walk Among Dinosaurs. This isn't a movie per se, but perhaps even better than one. The Bronx Zoo has an exhibit of 52 life-sized dinosaurs, some of which have animatronics in them. The Bronx Zoo is located at 2300 Southern Blvd in the Bronx. You will need to rsvp a timed ticket and check their website for the latest CoVid guidance - https://bronxzoo.com.

On Monday & Tuesday, August 22 & 23, 2022 the second half of the Yankee / Mets subway series begins at CitiField at 7.05 pm. I found tickets going for $99 to $475 for regular seats. Or instead of paying what seems an outrageous amount of money to a billionaire in order to sweat profusely through a three hour local baseball game, you drop in on your favorite air conditioned sports bar and watch it there, with drinks and food and air conditioning, for less than the price of a ticket. But you're advised to check that the bar is showing the game, as the TV / video rights can be a complicated maze, when it comes to figuring out what services will carry the games.
