The temperature highs will be in the mid 60's all weekend long, while the temperature lows will be in the mid 50's on Friday and Saturday, falling to the high 40's on Sunday. Winds will be 10 - 15 mph all weekend. The humidity will rise from the mid 50% to mid 70% on Friday, rising to the mid 70% to mid 80% on Saturday, before falling back to around the mid 50% on Sunday. There's about 2/3 of an inch of rain expected Saturday after 6 pm and ending before 6 am Sunday. Otherwise, for the other parts of the weekend, no rain.

The photo at right captures some of the beauty and mystery of planet Earth. It was taken along an ancient Inca Trail in the Andes in Peru, not far from Macchu Picchu. We can learn a lot from the Incas, who were environmentally compatible engineers.


Manhattan

On Sunday, April 23, 2023 beginning at 11.30 am the Persian Day Parade kicks off from 38th Street at Madison Avenue in Manhattan this weekend. Thru June 29, 2023 from XX to 5 pm the Women in the Heights Art Show will be on exhibit at the United Palace at 4140 Broadway at 175th Street in Washington Heights. The show features 59 works by 52 northern Manhattan artists and is only open Tuesdays and Saturdays. Began mid April. Brooklyn

Thursday, April 20 - 23, 2023 beginning at 7 pm nightly [weekend matinees begin at 3 pm], the Brooklyn Ballet will be performing at The Mark O'Donnell Theater at the Entertainment Community Fund Arts Center at 160 Schermerhorn Street in Downtown Brooklyn. The performances are described as follows, " ... music and dance, with two signature ballet and street dance mash-ups by Lynn Parkerson and “Big Mike” Fields plus a masterwork by Antony Tudor! Luna Park Amusement Park at Coney Island opened Friday, March 31, 2023 from 12 noon - 8 pm. It's open 11 am - 8 pm weekends in April, and ALL WEEK between the Christian and Orthodox Easter Sundays [April 9 - 16]. Then for the rest of April and May it's only open Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Saturday, April 22 & Sunday April 23, 2023 - from 11 am - 6 pm FAD Earth Day Pop Up Market at the Invisible Dog Art Center at 51 Bergen Street in the Boerum Hill neighborhood of Brooklyn.
