NYC Weather. The temperature highs will be around 90 on Friday, falling to 80 on Saturday and about 75 on Sunday. The temperature lows will be in the mid 60's on Friday, falling to about 60 on Saturday and possibly into the mid 50's on Sunday. Winds will be about 5 - 8 mph all weekend. The humidity will fall from 50% on Friday to 40% on Saturday and between 30% - 40% on Sunday. No rain is in the forecast for this weekend
The photo at right shows a rainy day this past week. It was nice to see some moisture return to the area, as up until very recently, it had been lacking thus far this year.

Thursday - Sunday, May 11 - 14, 2023 - Indian Film Festival - At various times, plus opening and closing events and talks. This is about the Indian subcontinent. The films are shown mostly at the Angelika Theater at 18 West Houston in the Village, but there's at least one event [closing] at the SVA Theater at 333 West 23rd Street in Chelsea. Thursday / Friday - Tuesday, May 11 - 16, 2023 from 12 noon - 6 pm on Saturday, Sunday & Tuesday and open until 8 pm Friday & Monday - TEFAF - The European Fine Art Foundation - Fine Art Show at the Park Avenue Armory at 643 Park Avenue [at 66th Street] in the Upper East Side of Manhattan. For details and $55 / $75 / $25 tickets see - https://www.tefaf.com. This is NOT a street fair, but rather an art and antiquities fair on the UES of Manhattan.
Saturday, May 13, 2023, Opening Ceremony begins at 12.30 pm and the Japan Parade begins at 1 pm. The parade begins at Central Park West at West 81st Street and marches down to West 67th Street where it ends. There's a Japan Parade Street Fair that runs from 1 pm - 4.30 pm along 69th Street between Columbus Avenue and Central Park West. Street fairs on the UWS in NYC. Mostly Free Things To Do This Weekend in Brooklyn NYC
On Saturday, May 13, 2023 from 3 - 8 pm, there's the Brooklyn Conservatory of Music Open Stages at 15 locations near or not far from the Old Stone House 336 3rd Street next to Washington Park in Park Slope Brooklyn. Saturday through Sunday, May 13 - June 11, 2023 - Dance Africa Festival at BAM - At 30 Lafayette Avenue at Ashland Place - in the Peter Jay Sharp Building and Howard Gilman Opera House in the Brooklyn Academy of Music in Fort Greene neighborhood of Brooklyn. It's a performance festival featuring African culture. Tickets start at $35 for adults and $22 for kids. For details see www.bam.org. This is NOT a street fair, but there is a bazaar day, but it is mostly musical, theatrical and cultural dance performances.

Extended for two more weekends thru 5/21/23. Originally _ Fridays, Saturdays & Sundays, beginning April 28 - May 7, 2023 at 8 pm on Fridays & Saturdays and at 2 pm and 3 pm respectively on Saturdays and Sundays, there's a performance of Eight Tales of Pedro at the Queens Theatre in Flushing Meadows Corona Park. Wednesday - Sunday, May 10 - 14, 2023 there's an Arts & Crafts Show at the Staten Island Mall at 2655 Richmond Avenue in the Heartland Village neighborhood. The show includes ceramics, glass, metal work, wood, jewelry, painting and photos. Current Mall Hours are Monday-Thursday 11am-7pm, Friday-Saturday 10am-8pm, Sunday 11am-6pm - but vendor times will likely vary.
