NYC Weather as of 2.23.24. Sunrise 6.29 am. Sunset 5.48 pm. There's over a 90% probability, of about a half inch of rain, expected on Saturday, beginning after 7 am and ending about 9 pm. Sunday is dry, but cloudy. The temperature highs will climb from the mid 40's on Friday to about 50 on Saturday to about 60 on Sunday. The temperature lows will be about 40 on Friday, climbing to the high 40's for the rest of the weekend. The humidity will rise from the 40% - 70% range on Friday, to the 80% - 90% range on Saturday, before falling back to 70% - 80% on Sunday. The winds will range from 4 - 9 mph all weekend.

They begin at Harts Blvd marching along Forest Avenue in the Westerleigh / Elm Park neighborhoods to Jewett Avenue, in the West New Brighton neighborhood of Staten Island. The parade lasts about one to two hours, but the celebrating continues after the parade.

Members of the LGBTQ community continue to be banned from openly marching in the parade. The parade is organized by the Richmond County St. Patrick's Day Parade Committee and not the Ancient Order of Hiberians.

The parade marches south on East Tremont Avenue, through the Throgs Neck commercial district, ending about a mile later at Harding and East Tremont Avenue, where a mobile stage is usually set up for parade speechs and entertainment. The parade lasts about an hour, but the festivities go on far longer. The parade is organized by the Throggs Neck Benevolent Association [aka TNBA]. Sunday, March 17, 2024 beginning at 1 pm, the Brooklyn Saint Patrick's Parade. The St. Patrick's Day events begin at Bartel-Pritchard Square at 14th Street at the southwest corner of Prospect Park in the Park Slope neighborhood of Brooklyn. The parade was established in 1975 and is said to be the oldest St Patricks Day Parade in Brooklyn. Parade Route. Historically, the parade kicks off at Prospect Park West and 15th St [assembly stretches to 9th St] and then marches to 7th Ave & Garfield Place, back to Prospect Park West & 15th Street where there's a celebration from 2 - 5 pm. After Party. There's a St Patrick's Day Parade after party at Holy Name of Jesus Church at 245 Prospect Park West. The temperature highs will be in the high 50's, possibly going into the low 60's, all weekend. The temperature lows will be in the low 40's on Friday, rising to the high 40's for the rest of the weekend. Winds will be around 15 mph on Friday, descending to between 7 - 12 mph for the rest of the weekend. The humidity will be 40% - 50% on Friday, rising to 70% on Saturday, and falling back to 50% - 60% on Sunday. There's a 25% chance of less than a tenth of an inch of rain late Saturday night / early Sunday morning. So basically, a very nice Easter Weekend.
