Weekend Things To Do NYC
A Number of Prior Year Events aren't Returning, but Many are & Things Definitely Pick up Speed as we Head into August

Weather. The temperature highs will be in the mid 90's Friday, dropping to the high 80's on Saturday and mid 80's by Sunday. The temperature lows will be in the mid to low 70's all weekend. The winds will be 5 - 10 mph all weekend. The humidity will be between 65% - 75%, Friday rising to 75% - 85% for the rest of the weekend. There will be scattered thunder showers dropping about a half inch of rain on both Saturday and Sunday beginning about 12 noon Saturday and running through the rest of the weekend. But there will by clearings and dry spells, so it's a bit of a hit or miss weekend. Be brave and take your chances, but not without an umbrella.
Queens - Cancellations but some fairs
Normally this would be the weekend of the Colombian Parade, Chatpati Mela and the Festival of Flowers in Queens, but for the second year running the organizers decided to err on the side of safety and decided not to return to the streets this year. But there are other street fairs and farmers markets that will be open this year which you can find using the links below.
Manhattan - Cancellations but some fairs
This weekend is also the St. Catherine of Genoa Festival in Washington Heights, but alas it does not appear to be returning this year. The same is true of the Fashion on the Hudson Fashion Show, which won't be back on the runway this July. But there are other things happening this summer like street fairs, farmers markets, free public swimming pools, and free public outdoor theater, which you can find using the links below.
Brooklyn - Our Lady of Mount Carmel Feast - Italian
Wednesday thru Sunday, July 7 - 18, 2021 - Times vary but oftentimes begins in the afternoon & runs into the night. The Annual Our Lady of Mount Carmel Feast / The Giglio Festival began in 1903. Havemeyer at 8th Street. An Italian food festival with music and dance entertainment and kiddie rides, as well as the cultural hoisting of the Giglio. See olmcfeast.com for details.

Bronx - LGBTQ Pride Festival & Health Fair
Saturday, July 17, 2021 from 11 am to 6 / 7 pm / Free - Bronx 10th Annual LGBTQ Pride Festival & Health Fair - At the Crotona Park Amphitheatre in Crotona Park at 1700 Crotona Avenue at 559 Claremont Parkway. Live entertainment and booths. Street fairs near Mt Eden in the Mount Hope neighborhood of the Central Bronx & Montefiore one of organizers. FREE.
Staten Island - Our Lady of Mount Carmel Festival but dialed way down
Friday, July 16, 2021 - 116th Annual Feast of Our Lady of Mount Carmel. The mass will be held at St Joseph's Roman Catholic Church in Rosebank at 11 am and in the evening there will be simple food available in the grotto field for a donation.
