Manhattan Things To Do This Weekend NYC

On Saturday, May 21, 2022 the Dance Parade begins at 12 noon at 20th Street and Broadway, marches down to Washington Square Park, turns east and heads into Tompkins Square Park in the East Village where a festival runs from 3 - 7 pm.

On Saturday, May 21, 2022 the Taste of Tribeca runs from 11 am - 3 pm along [where] Duane and [meets] Greenwich Streets in Tribeca. Tickets run $55 - $65 and they have group rates. For details go to www.tasteoftribeca.com.

On Sunday, May 22nd, 2022 the Celebrate Israel Parade begins at 11.30 am marching up 5th Avenue from 57th to 74th Street, ending around 4 pm.

Sunday, May 22, 2022 from 10 am to 6 pm - 44th Plantathon Crafts Fair - Along east side of Broadway from 73rd to 82nd Street - street fairs in the Upper West Side neighborhood UWS of Manhattan. One of the oldest plant fairs in the city, offering a huge array of plants, food and live music.

Thru Sunday, May 18 - 22, 2022 _ Freize Art Fair at the Shed at 545 West 30th Street at Hudson Yard - From 11 am - 7 pm daily, closing at 5 pm on Sunday. Tickets for Adults $50 - $85 / Students $25 - $35 & Children $5 at www.frieze.com.*

All Weekend _ Friday, Saturday & Sunday, May 18 - 22, 2022 begins 4 pm Friday & at 12 noon Saturday & Sunday ending at 9 pm nightly - Ukranian Festival - At 30 East 7th Street and along 7th Street between 2nd Avenue and 3rd Avenue in the East Village. Includes Ukranian shopping, food and entertainment with the proceeds going to St. George Academy. Friday - Sunday, May 20 - 22, 2022 - the AIPAD Photography Show from 1 - 7 pm Friday, 12 - 7 pm Saturday and 12 - 5 pm Sunday. At Center 415 at 415 Fifth Avenue [between 37th & 38th Streets on the ground and second floors] in Manhattan. The show presents dozens of galleries and hundreds if not thousands of photographers' works. AIPAD is the Association of International Photography Dealers. Admission $50 / $24. Friday - Sunday, May 20 - 22, 2022 - the 1 - 54 Contemporary African Art Fair beginning at 12 noon daily and ending at 8 pm, 7 pm and 5 pm respectively. At St. Thomas the Apostle Church at 258 West 118th Street in Harlem. The fair hosts the exhibits of 25 galleries. Admission is $20 which may be purchased online at www.1-54.com.

Saturday, May 21, 2022 from 3 - 8 pm - DUMBO Block Party - At the Pearl Street Triangle and DUMBO Arch in the Dumbo [Down Underneath the Manhattan Bridge O.] neighborhood of Brooklyn. Food, music & entertainment [less shopping], as well as fundraiser for the Dock Street School for STEAM Studies & PS307. Street fairs in Dumbo BK.

On Sunday, May 22, 2022 from 11 am - 6 pm. Church Avenue Street Fair & Festival. Along Church Avenue from Coney Island Avenue to Argyle Road in Flatbush. There will be performances, food & a kids carnival. Brooklyn street fairs in Flatbush.

FYI - POSTPONED _ Saturday, May 21, 2022 from 12 noon - 7 pm - Tastes of Brooklyn / Tastes of Gowanus - This event starts in the Gowanus neighborhood of Brooklyn. The event features over a dozen participating local restaurants offering tastes of their cuisine. Tickets range from $35 - $100 on eventbrite or at the starting point noted above for a number of tastes. www.facebook.com/brooklyntastes/

 

Queens Things To Do This Weekend NYC

Thursday through Sunday, May 19 - 22, 2022 runs 5 pm - 11 pm Thursday & Friday, and 1 - 11 pm Saturday & ending at 10 pm Sunday - 45th Annual Greek Festival at St Demetrios Church on 31st Avenue and 30th Drive. Old fashioned town fair including traditional Greek food, good rides and prizes for the kids, and Greek cultural music and dance entertainment. There are performances of Fomo: Diptych at the Chocolate Factory Theater at their new location at 38-33 24th Street in Long Island City. A diptych is "an ancient writing tablet consisting of two hinged leaves with waxed inner sides" and the performance uses that concept and an art installation to explore how we interpret things to create meaning. Performances start at 8 pm and tickets are $20 at www.chocolatefactorytheater.org.

On Sunday, May 22, 2022 from 12 noon - 3 pm there's the East River International Food Festival at the Sound River Studios at 4-40 44th Drive in Long Island City Queens. Tickets are $50 for this food stall event which was organized by a consortium of Queens restaurants. Details and tickets at www.queenstogether.org.

 

Bronx Things To Do This Weekend NYC

BELMONT - May 2022 EVERY weekend from 6pm to 10pm on Fridays and Saturdays, and 1pm to 9pm on Sundays - Piazza di Belmont - Outdoor dining on Arthur Avenue which will be closed to vehicular traffic from East 188th Street to Crescent Avenue during the above mentioned times.

 

Staten Island Things To Do This Weekend NYC

Sunday, May 22, 2022 from 11 am - 6 pm - Makers Radio Park 3rd Annual Record Fair. At Flagship Brewery at 40 Minthorne Street in Tompkinsville neighborhood of Staten Island, within walking distance of the Staten Island Ferry. Tens of thousands of records are said, will be there.

On Sunday, May 22nd, Boat Tour that encircles Staten Island from 11 am - 3 pm. Tickets are $60 / $40 for adults / kids and I believe it departs from the Lighthouse Museum at 200 The Promenade at Lighthouse Point in St. George [next to the Staten Island Ferry Terminal].
