Weather. The temperatures will be about 90 degrees this weekend, and the lows about 70 degrees. The humidity will be between 50% - 60% all weekend. Winds will be about 12 mph Saturday and about 17 mph Sunday. No rain is expected over the weekend, but about a 1/2 inch to an inch is due to arrive on Monday.

Things To Do This Weekend in Manhattan

Saturday, June 25, 2022 from 10 am - 6 pm - Little West 12th Street Block Party - Along Little West 12th Street between 9th Avenue and Washington Street in the West Village.

The Gay Pride Parade returns to the West Village on Sunday, June 26th beginning at 12 noon at Madison Square Park at 26th Street and 5th Avenue in Midtown Manhattan. The parade turns west toward the West Village at 8th Street, continues onto Christopher Street before turning north on 7th Avenue, ending at 15th Street.

Also on Sunday, June 26, 2022 there's also a Gay Pride street fair along 4th Avenue between 8th and 13th streets in the Village. It begins at 11 am and ends around 6 pm. The fair includes entertainment, food and wellness booths.

Weather. The temperature highs will be near 90 on Friday, dropping to around 70 for the rest of the weekend. The temperature lows will be in the low 60's on Friday, dropping into the high 50's the rest of the weekend. The humidity will be 50% on Friday, dropping to 40% the rest of the weekend. Winds will be about 10 mph on Friday and Sunday, rising to 15 mph on Saturday.

 

The photo at right was taken at the Mermaid Parade in Coney Island in Brooklyn on Saturday. It's part art, part exhibitionism and all fun.

The Frick is located at 1 East 70th Street at 5th Avenue, but that site is temporarily closed for renovations. Their temporary site is 945 Madison Avenue at 75th Street which is where this event is being held. The theme is gay pride. Free.

Ending Sunday, June 19, 2022 - The Tribeca Film Festival. There's an early / preview event at the United Palace at 4140 Broadway the weekend beginning June 4th in Washington Heights. There are a multitude of free and paid live events and films covering a variety of subjects including but not limited to LGBTQ, LatinX and Juneteenth to view at various venues around the city. Weather. The temperature highs will be in the 70's and the temperature lows will be in the 60's all weekend. The humidity however will not be so constant, rising from 50% Friday to 70% on Saturday, to close to 90% on Sunday. Winds will be light at between 3 - 8 mph all weekend. There's a high probability of a half inch of rain on Sunday.

Saturday, June 11, 2022 from 11 am to 1 pm - Festival of India Parade & Sri Jagannath Ratha YatraFestival - Parade assembles at 45th St & 5th Avenue at 11 am - Parade begins at 12 noon and ends at West 8th Street at Washington Square Park in the Village where there's a festival from 12 noon to 7 pm.*

Saturday, June 11, 2022 from 11 am - 5 pm - 34nd Annual 116th Street Festival - Along 3rd Avenue from 106th St to 122nd street in the El Barrio section of East Harlem. Food, shopping & three stages of entertainment at www.116thstfestival.com.

Sunday, June 12, 2022 beginning at 11 am - The Puerto Rican Day Parade returns. It will kick off at 5th Avenue at 43rd Street marching north to 79th Street on the UES. This is a huge parade celebrating Puerto Rican culture.

Sunday, June 12, 2022 from 11 am - 6 pm - Romania Day Festival - Along Broadway between Liberty and Battery Place. Celebration of over a century of Romanian unification and culture. In 2018 the fair included 30 stands of Romanian businesses, restaurants and artists out of a total of 300 stands. Entertainment, food & shopping. Tribeca street fairs nyc.

Tuesday, June 14, 2022 from 6 - 9 pm - Museum Mile Festival - Along 5th Avenue from 79th Street to 106th Street on the Upper East Side. All of the museums along 5th Avenue on the Upper East Side UES are open to the public for free.* Be prepared to wear masks inside.

Weather. The temperature highs will be around 80 and the temperature lows will be around 60 all weekend. The humidity will be between 60% and 70% on Friday, dropping to about 40% - 50% on Saturday and Sunday. Winds will be between 5 - 6 mph all weekend. There's a tiny chance of a tiny amount of rain Friday during the day and then it's clear all weekend.

The photo at right was taken on the subway in Queens a couple of weeks ago. Most folks are respecting each other by wearing masks, as CoVid is still causing problems out there.

 

Things To Do This Weekend in Manhattan

The Israeli Film Festival began Wednesday, June 1 and runs through Wednesay, June 8, 2022. Most of it is being streamed this year, but there are a few events at the Marlene Meyerson JCC on level L2- Auditorium on the UWS.

The Washington Square Outdoor Art Exhibit runs through Saturday and Sunday. The art fair is open from 12 noon to 6 pm daily along University Avenue from Washington Square Park South to 13th Street in the Village.

There's an early / preview event at the United Palace this weekend in Washington Heights related to the Tribeca Film Festival which starts next Wednesday, June 8 and runs for a week and a half ending Sunday, June 19.

Multi-Cultural Festival in the Jackie Robinson Bandshell on Saturday. Details coming later today.
