CNTRL PARK _ Saturday, September 25, 2021 from 2 - 6 pm - Global Citizen Concert - In Central Park on the Great Lawn - NYC street fairs / festivals Manhattan.

LITTLE ITALY _ Thursday - Sunday, September 16 - 27, 2021 times vary - The San Gennaro Festival. This is an 11 day Italian festival that runs through Sunday, September 27th.

UWS _ Friday, September 24 - October 10, 2021 - times vary - NY Film Festival - At Lincoln Center. A film festival including films from around the nation and around the world.

Queens - Governor's Ball Music Festival & Myrtle Avenue Fair

FLUSHING / CORONA _ Friday, Saturday & Sunday, September 24 - 26, 2021 from about 12 noon - 10 / 11 pm - Governors Music Festival. A music festival with numerous bands performing all types of musical genres - At CitiField in Queens. Tickets are $129 / day or $319 for all three days, plus a processing fee.

RIDGEWOOD _ Sunday, September 26, 2021 from 12 noon - 6 pm - Myrtle Avenue Queens Fair - Along Myrtle Avenue between Fresh Pond and Wyckoff. Street fairs in Ridgewood Queens NYC.

 

Brooklyn - Great Irish Fair & Sunset Park Street Festival

CONEY ISLAND _ Saturday, September 25, 2021 from 10 am - 9 pm. Annual Great Irish Fair. At the Ford Amphitheater at 3052 West 21st Street along the Boardwalk in Coney Island. Brooklyn fair with an Irish flavor in Coney Island. Tickets run from $20 on up. This is not a Brooklyn street fair but rather a dance, music and theater cultural festival. Organized by the Irish American Building Society.

SUNSET PARK _ Sunday, September 26, 2021 from 11 am - 6 pm. Sunset Park Street Festival. Along 5th Avenue between 44th & 59th Streets. Brooklyn street fairs in the Sunset Park neighborhood of Brooklyn.

 

Bronx - Bronx Native American Festival & Fordham Road Food Fest

FORDHAM _ Saturday, September 25, 2021 from 10 am - 6 pm. Fordham Road Food Fest - Along Fordham Road from Creston to Grand Concourse. Street fairs in the Fordham neighborhood of the Central Bronx.

PELHAM BAY PARK _ Sunday, September 26, 2021 from 12 noon - 4 pm. Bronx Native American Festival - In Pelham Bay Park in the south picnic area. Master of Ceremonies Bobby Gonzales [Taino], The Silvercloud Singers and Thunderbird American Dancers [both of latter groups are inter-tribal]. Street fairs & festivals in the Pelham Bay Park neighborhood of the East Bronx.

 

Staten Island - Fence Art Show Snug Harbor, Offshore Wind Talk at the Lighthouse Museum & Beer, Wine & Spirits Fest at the SI Mall

Saturday, September 25, 2021 from 11 am - 5 pm - 71st Fence Show at Snug Harbor. At the Snug Harbor Cultural Center & Botanical Garden at 1000 Richmond Terrace in the Randall Manor neighborhood of Staten Island. This is a long-running tradition featuring 140 artists who sell their creations on the Snug Harbor lawn.

Saturday, September 25, 2021 from 1 pm - 4.30 pm & 6 - 9.30 pm - Staten Island Beer, Wine & Spirits Fest. At the Staten Island Mall Courtyard. Two seatings w/ tickets beginning at $15.

Sunday, September 26, 2021 - Offshore Wind Energy Program - begins at 2 pm - At the Lighthouse Museum at 200 The Promenade at Lighthouse Point. A talk about the emerging wind energy program in our area. Admission $10 / $5 members.

  • Little Italy _ Thursday, September 16 - 27, 2021 times vary - The San Gennaro Festival. This is an 11 day Italian festival that runs through Sunday, September 27th. Details coming next week.
  • UES _ Saturday, September 18, 2021 - Steuben Day Parade & Oktoberfest from 1.30 - 7 pm - Following the German American Steuben Parade that begins at 12 noon - there's an Oktoberfest in Central Park at the Rumsey Playfield - enter Central Park at 72nd St & 5th Avenue. Admission $35, but tickets sold out by early Sept.

And there are free performances at Lincoln Center at 11 am and 2.30 pm on both Saturday and Sunday in the court yard.

  • Saturday, September 18, 2021 from 5 - 9 pm - City Island Arts Walk - Along City Island Avenue between Tier and Schofiled Streets. Hawkins Street Park is the epicenter. Street fairs festivals in the City Island neighborhood of the East Bronx.
  • FORDHAM _ September 2021 EVERY Saturday from about 4 - 10 pm - Bronx Night Market - in Fordham Plaza at East Fordham Road (189th Street) and Third Avenue across from the Metro North Railway Station. This is mostly a market with 35 food vendors in the Fordham neighborhood of the Bronx.
  • BELMONT - September 2021 EVERY weekend from 6pm to 10pm on Fridays and Saturdays, and 1pm to 9pm on Sundays - Piazza di Belmont - Outdoor dining on Arthur Avenue which will be closed to vehicular traffic from East 188th Street to Crescent Avenue during the above mentioned times.

 

Brooklyn Things To Do This Weekend

  • Friday, Saturday & Sunday, September 17 - 19, 2021 from 2 - 10 pm, 12 noon - 10 pm & 12 noon - 7 pm respectively. Holy Cross Greek Cultural Festival. At 8401 Ridge Blvd between 84th and 86th Streets. This is primarily a food and cultural festival. Brooklyn street fairs in the Bay Ridge neighborhood of Brooklyn.
  • THIS WAS SCHEDULED FOR 2021 BUT THEN CANCELLED EFFECTIVE 9.10.21 _ Sunday, September 19, 2021 from 10 am - 6 pm. Flatbush Frolic. Along Cortelyou Road between Ocean and Coney Island Avenues. Flatbush Ditmas Park. Brooklyn street fairs in the Flatbush neighborhood of Brooklyn.
  • The Mermaid Parade which was rescheduled to September 2021 has been CANCELLED due to CoVid.

 

Staten Island Things To Do This Weekend

  • Saturday, September 18, 2021 from 12 noon - 4 pm. 1776 Peace Conference Celebration - There's an historical reenactment of the effort made by Benjamin Franklin and John Adams to obtain peace with Britain as the war for indepence was breaking out. At the Conference House in Tottenville on Staten Island.
  • Saturday, September 18, 2021 from 11.30 am - 7 pm - 14th Annual Westerleigh Folk Music and Art Festival. At Westerleigh Park off Jewett Avenue at the corner of Neal Dow and Maine Avenues in the Westerleigh neighborhood on Staten Island. This Staten Island festival in Westerleigh Park centers around live music on three stages, and includes 40 arts & crafts vendors, an art expo and no mention of food, but smart food truck vendors will likely show. Free.
  • Sunday, September 19, 2021 from 2 pm - 6 pm. Annual Fig / Ficus Festival - At 200 The Promenade at Lighthouse Point in the St. George neighborhood. The festival includes all things fig / ficus related. It's a quirky food festival centered around the fig. Staten Island street fairs / festivals in St. George. $5 suggested donation.

On Staten Island

  • Saturday, September 11, 2021 from 12 noon - 4 pm - Pig Island Festival - "... this pork-laden festival [includes 20 chefs who] compete for the most delicious porcine dishes. There will also be craft beer, hard cider, spirits and other food offerings - all-included with a general admissions ticket ... " In the South Meadow at Snug Harbor Cultural Center at 1000 Richmond Terrace in the Randall Manor neighborhood on Staten Island. It's an Italian harvest celebration & celebrating 100 years of Arthur Avenue in the Belmont section of the Bronx. Bronx St Fairs in the Belmont neighborhood.x
  • MELROSE _ Sunday, September 12, 2021 beginning at 5 pm. Bronx is Rising at Bronx Music Hall Plaza - At Bronx Music Hall Plaza at 438 East 163rd Street [at Washington], which will be the new home for Bronx Music Heritage Center in Melrose. Seating limited and masks required. Not a Bronx St Fair, but a concert in the Melrose neighborhood of the Bronx.

 

In Queens

  • CORONA _ Sunday, September 12, 2021 from 10 am - 6 pm - Junction Blvd Latin Culture Festival - Along Junction Blvd between Roosevelt and 35th Avenue. St fairs in Corona Queens.

  • LITTLE NECK _ Saturday & Sunday, September 10 - 12, 2021 from 3.30 - 8.30 Friday and 11 am to 6 pm Saturday & Sunday - Queens County Fair - At the Queens County Farm at 73-50 Little Neck Parkway. The first Queens County Fair occurred in 1693. This one includes corn husking, tractor pulls, carnival rides, a Bavarian beer garden, food galore and arts & crafts shops. Admission $15 / $8 food & drink costs extra / $10 / $5 advance at www.queenscountyfarm.org.
  • UNCONFIRMED - The Italian Festival - Along Fresh Pond Road between Woodbine and Menahan streets from September 9 through 12, operating from 6.30 to 10 pm in Ridgewood Brooklyn & Queens.

Things To Do in NYC Labor Day Weekend

Weather. The temperature highs will be in the mid 70's to about 80 degrees all weekend. The temperature lows will be in the low to high 60's all weekend. The humidity will be 60% - 70% on Friday and Saturday, rising to 70% - 80% for Sunday and Monday. Winds will be between 5 - 10 mph all weekend. For the most part there isn't any rain in the forecast, except for a 60% chance of about a tenth of an inch of rain expected between 11 pm Sunday night and 11 am Monday morning.

Manhattan - Final Weekend of the Van Gogh Immersive

The Washington Square Outdoor Art Exhibit returns to Manhattan for the Labor Day Weekend. The exhibit is along University Place between Washington Square North / Waverly and 13th Street on Saturday, Sunday and Monday from 12 noon to 6 pm every day.

Shakespeare at Delacorte Theater in Central Park at 8 pm nightly - see Manhattan theater for details.

From August 25th through September 12th there's a 110 foot ferris wheel operating in Times Square from 12 noon to 12 midnight. It costs $20 for adults and $15 for kids for a 12 minute ride.

The Van Gogh Immersive is at Pier 36 at 299 South Street on the Lower East Side of Manhattan from 9 am - 11 pm Saturday, 9 am - 10 pm Sunday and from 11 am - 9 pm on Monday. I couldn't find tickets available on their site but www.feverup.com is selling a few tickets for each day as of this post.

Brooklyn - West Indian Day Parade Cancelled Due to CoVid Delta Variant

On Saturday, Sunday and Monday Historic Richmond Town is hosting its popular annual County Fair from 12 noon - 6 pm daily. The old fashioned county fair includes rides, livestock, food and live entertainment. CoVid protocols are in place. Admission tickets range from $4 to $10. www.historicrichmondtown.org
