Weather. The temperature highs will be around 50 on Friday and Sunday, soaring to near 70 on Saturday. The temperature lows will be in the mid 40's Friday and Saturday, falling to the high 30's on Sunday. Humidity will be between 60% and 80% on Friday and Saturday, dropping to between 40% and 50% on Sunday. Winds will be 5 - 10 mph Friday, rising to 15 - 20 mph Saturday, retreating to 5 - 10 mph on Sunday. There's a 50% chance of some small amount of rain before noon on Saturday and / or after 8 pm. Otherwise it's a precipitation-free weekend.

Santacon runs from 10 am - 8 pm on Saturday, December 11th, mostly at Midtown Manhattan bars, but also some in the East Village. Santacon is a [generally Santa] costume party bar hopping event. It can be fun and you can meet people. But ... it is definitely a bit like New Years Eve and St. Pat's Day, when all of the amateur drinkers come out and you know what that means ... Description. The 30th annual tree lighting celebrates park advocate Glenn Barnett who died of AIDS in 1992. HISTORICALLY - There's a holiday market at Lucky at 168 Avenue B from 12 noon - 5 pm BUT THIS YEAR - 2021 - IT'S UNCONFIRMED.

Grand Bazaar Holiday Market on the UWS Manhattan NYC
Sundays, November 28 and December 5 & 11, 2021 from 10 am - 5 pm
Description. Holiday market with about 100 artisans, dealers and vendors. Some of the proceeds go to support a nearby school with 2,000 students.
Location. At 77th Street and Columbus Avenue on the UWS of Manhattan. This market is open year round on Sundays.

Description. Currently this appears to be a one-day per week holiday market that ends as noted in the dates above.
HISTORICALLY - This Brooklyn Flea market pre-pandemic was open year round [but moved to different locations based on seasons - summer Dumbo & Williamsburg] with seventy-five vendors selling vintage, antiques, clothing, and other goods. They've been doing this since 2013? and two of their three pre-pandemic winters / locales were in Industry City [2017] and Atlantic Center [2018]. NY Botanical Garden Holiday Train Show in the Belmont Neighborhood of the Bronx on the Weekends November & December 2021 from 10 am to 4 pm. This 30 year old family-friendly Bronx holiday event includes a scenic train show of G-scale toy locomotives that run through 175 NYC landmarks including the Statue of Liberty and Brooklyn Bridge - all made of natural materials. Description. The 18th Annual Christmas Show is a fundraiser for the restoration of the theater. Weather. The temperature highs will be in the mid to high 40's all weekend, while the temperature lows will be in the mid 30's Friday and Saturday, rising the the low 40's on Sunday. Humidity will be 40% - 60% Friday, stabilizing at 60% on Saturday, and then ranging from 50% - 75% on Sunday. Winds will be 5 - 15 mph on Friday, falling to 5 - 10 mph for the rest of hte weekend. There's a small chance of some precipitation late Sunday night.
So weather-wise not a bad weekend. This is mostly done.

Through Sunday, December 5, 2021. Every night of Hanukkah there's a candle lighting of one of the world's largest menorahs [32 feet tall and weighing 4,000 pounds]. The lightings begin nightly at 5.30 pm, except on Friday [3.30 pm] and Saturday [8 pm] to accommodate services on the Sabbath. Sunday, December 5, 2021 from 6.30 - 7 pm - This holiday event / Christmas tree lighting tradition began in 1945 to honor the World War II dead as a reminder of the importance of freedom and the sacrifices made to preserve it. Astoria Park CALDC Holiday Tree Lighting Event - Sunday, December 5, 2021 from 3 - 4.30 pm [lights on at dusk / 4.30 pm] - In 2019 they described the event as, "... photos with Santa ... a day filled with music, kids activities, and celebrating Astoria's holiday tradition" and more. While this year may be the same, it wasn't confirmed, so it may possibly be dialed down a bit. Bronx Hanukkah - Chabad Bronx Giant Menorah Lighting in Riverdale on Sunday, November 28 thru Sunday, December 5, 2021 beginning at 4 pm, except on Friday 12/3 at 3 pm and Saturday 12/4 at 6.30 pm. Please note that Sunday, November 28 is the big ceremony that they do each year with the dignitaries and such. NY Botanical Garden Holiday Train Show in the Belmont Neighborhood of the Bronx on the Weekends November & December 2021 from 10 am to 4 pm. This 30 year old family-friendly Bronx holiday event includes a scenic train show of G-scale toy locomotives that run through 175 NYC landmarks including the Statue of Liberty and Brooklyn Bridge - all made of natural materials. Sunday, December 5, 2021 from 12 noon - 4 pm - there's the Conference House holiday market followed by the Grand Illumination at 4.30 pm. At 4.30 pm there's a Colonial Christmas Celebration at the Historic Conference House Park. There will be holiday lanterns, cider and cookies. In prior years there was a $3 admission. This year that wasn't included on the notice, but an rsvp is required so you'll know ahead of time. CoVid protocols remain in effect at this and all other events.
