The humidity will rise from the 40% range to 70% Friday and then range from 70% - 80% for the rest of the weekend. The winds will be in the 5 - 10 mph range all weekend. While it will be cloudy on Saturday & Sunday, no rain is expected until Sunday.

Saturday, July 16, 2022 from 10 am to 6 pm - 7th Annual Go Africa Carnival - Along West 116th Street between Adam Clayton Powell Boulevard [7th Avenue] and Frederick Douglass Boulevard [8th Avenue]. The epicenter is at 216 West 216th Street. There will be three stages showcasing African and Caribbean culture including music, food, art and shopping. Tuesdays - Sundays, June 21 - July 17, 2022 beginning at 8 pm - Richard III - By William Shakespeare / Adapted by Robert O'Hara. This adaptation of the Shakespearean classic about a power hungry King who will stop at nothing to obtain and keep power seems reminiscent of former President Donald Trump and his Chief Propagandist, Rupert Murdoch of Fox News, the WSJ and the NY Post. Free Shakespeare in the park at the Delacorte Theater in Central Park in Manhattan NYC. See location instructions above.
Thursdays thru Sundays, June 30 - July 24, 2022 from 6.30 - 8.30 pm / Emma. On the north patio of the Soldiers & Sailors Monument which can be accessed at West 89th Street and Riverside Drive on the Upper West Side [see photo at right]. Take the steps behind the monument down to the large patio.

On Saturday, July 16, 2022 beginning at 7.30 pm there's Jazz Jam All Stars Concert at Flushing Town Hall at 137-35 Northern Blvd in Queens. Jazz musicians selected from events held around the city and beyond will be performing. Tickets are $25 / $20 at www.flushingtownhall.org.
Saturday, July 16, 2022 from 6 - 9 pm - SummerStage featuring ChocQuibTown / Nanpa Basico / Salt Cathedral DJ Set. This free concert will be held in a field just south of the Queens Theatre in the Park / the Unisphere, and adjacent to the Maloof Skate Park.
On Saturdays from 5 pm - 12 midnight, the Queens International Night Market is at the NY Hall of Science in Flushing. It's primarily a food market, featuring many diffferent cuisines from around the world.
On Sunday, July 17, 2022 beginning at 6 pm, there's free entertainment in Travers Park in Jackson Heights featuring Diabolo Juggling Chinese yoyo workshop with Glow Community Center (Flushing) & a Brothers In Madness (B.I.M.) feat, and Fariyah Premaa.

Free - Bronx 11th Annual LGBTQ Pride Festival & Health Fair - At the Crotona Park Amphitheatre in Crotona Park at 1700 Crotona Avenue at 559 Claremont Parkway. Live entertainment and booths. Street fairs near Mt Eden in the Mount Hope neighborhood of the Central Bronx & Montefiore Medical is one of organizers. Free.
Sunday, July 17, 2022 from 10 am - 2 pm - There's a Riverdale Pride event. They describe it as "Music, Art, Food, Drag". At the Riverdale Neighborhood House at 5521 Mosholu Avenue in Riverdale in the Bronx.
Sunday, July 17, 2022 beginning at 5 pm Trilingual Mass [English, Italian and Spanish], 6 pm OLMC Procession and at 7 pm Community Gathering - Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Feast Day - A block celebration of Our Lady of Mount Carmel on Belmont Avenue at East 187th Street in the Belmont neighborhood of the Bronx. In the past the community gathering included food, entertainment and games - but not sure in 2022 what's included.
Every weekend from 6 pm - 10 pm on Fridays and Saturdays, and 3 pm - 9 pm on Sundays - Piazza di Belmont - Outdoor dining on Arthur Avenue which will be closed to vehicular traffic from East 188th Street to Crescent Avenue during the above mentioned times. Ends Sept 25, 2022.
